Death

Death:

     Many people picture death in many different forms. But what they don’t know death is the exact opposite of what people think. Some say things go slow and you see your whole life flash before your eyes, others say you see the person you love the most in your mind. Well in reality Caleb didn’t experience anything but agonizing pain. As Caleb stood in the cold hospital room unable to move he could remember what happen clearly. He was celebrating his anniversary with his fiancé when she started questioning him about being with another woman, he tried to explain it was his cousin but before he could say anything she injected him with something making everything inside him burn. It was like fire running from his veins to his heart. The pain didn’t stop no matter how he fell to the floor and rolled. Blood pour down his mouth, his eyes turned lifeless, colors disappear and it was just a black abyss pulling him into the unknown.

          He didn’t know how but he was currently lying down on a hospital bed. His girlfriend had come over and was crying how sorry she was but he could see it in her eyes it was just a show. He couldn’t move any part of his body or make a sound. It was like he was inside his body alive but his body was death. He felt a cold breeze as they lift him up to an operation bed where there was a bright light blinding his eyes. All he could see now was a doctor and a nurse with a lot of sharp tools getting ready to dissect him like a frog. He tried to blink, move or screamed but nothing happen. It was like if he was caged inside his own body.  He even did what he hasn’t done in a long time. He prayed to god to help him. But it seemed god wasn’t hearing his pleads and he couldn’t blame god since Caleb knew he close his heart towards him.

       The nurse and doctors voice seemed out of tone making it hard for him to hear but he could see their movement and saw a short knife coming closer and closer to his skin. He didn’t have a shirt on and was fully naked; when the knife pierced inside his stomach cutting it open Caleb winced in pain. All he could think of was if he had a second chance he wouldn’t be with crazy women anymore and listen to his cousin’s instincts. He saw blood pouring across his body as the doctor began taking his insides. He curse in his mind regretting that he signed the form saying if he died he donated his organs to people who needed them. He had hope for someone to enter the room and tell the doctors Caleb was still alive but Caleb knew it was a foolish hope. He suddenly couldn’t take the pain anymore and decided to stop fighting to live. He took a deep breath and waited for the calmness to take him
