I was fast asleep when the sound of a soft female voice woke me. I smiled into my pillow. Did Lizzy bring me breakfast again? That angel.

But when I opened my eyes and squinted at Connor's alarm clock, I was surprised to find that it wasn't morning at all. And that wasn't Lizzy's voice.

"It's all my fault..." the voice chocked suddenly and started to cry. I could see two people sitting on Connor's bed; the girl was now crying into her hands and who I recognized to be Connor was running a hand through his hair.

I slowed my breathing and stayed quiet to listen in on their conversation.

"Your face!" the girl reached up and touched Connor lightly as he turned to her.

"Mike got a few good hits..." Connor replied quietly. Mike Chadderton? As in Jo's dickhead ex's brother? How does Connor know Mike? A few good hits? What was that supposed to mean?

I was lost in a web of questions, but hearing my sister's name brought me back to the present.

"I couldn't Jo!" Connor was raising his voice.

Jo? Here?! Now?

I looked at the figure of the girl sitting on Connor's bed. I noticed the hair. Her favorite distressed jeans. It was her.

I closed my eyes thinking. They met on Sunday. They barely knew each other. They couldn't have... a thing? What other explanation was there for her beging here now? But that wouldn't happen. Jo wouldn't do that to me. And Connor always used to tell me how he liked to take a long time to get to know a girl before...

I opened my eyes and saw it. Connor was leaning over, his lips pressed onto Jo's. My stomach flipped and I had to fight the urge to jump out of my bed and tear them apart.

Connor was grinning as they kissed and I watched his hand move to Jo's lower back. She was holding his face in her hands, also smiling.

I felt my face get hot as they started to lean back on his bed and I wondered how much of this I could handle. It was pissing me off way too much and I was about to jump up when I heard a familiar ringtone go off.

Jo jumped and Connor finally released her, looking around. He slammed his hand on the table behind Jo and picked up my iPhone. Then I realized that was my ringtone for Lizzy.

"Lizzy," Connor answered my phone. He closed his eyes and ran a hand through his hair. "Yeah, she's fine. Yes, she is. Okay, okay, chill!" He handed the phone over to Jo and she took it silently.

I could hear the loud, shrill, screaming of my girlfriend on the other end. Jo started to sniff again and just kept nodding. Connor took her hands and they looked at each other.

"I k-know. I'm sorry. I'm s-sorry. Yeah. Yeah. No, I'll be fine. Yes. Okay. I love you too. Bye." Jo set down my phone and wiped her eyes.

"You okay?" Connor asked her. She nodded and hugged him.

"I h-have to go." Jo whispered, standing.

I had seen enough. I rolled over and closed my eyes. In the morning I'd wake Connor up and find out what the hell happened tonight.

"Text me as soon as you get home." Connor was saying. Then they were quiet and I tried not to think about what they could be doing.

After a few seconds, I heard my sister say goodbye and our dorm room door close with a click.
