Can You Feel The Love Tonight?

Somehow Shikamaru was convinced into buy them both Mickey shaped ice cream bars before returning to his room. It didn't seem to matter that he was doing her a favor by giving up his bed to her for the night because even though Ino had forgiven him, he still wasn't sure if he was actually in her good books or not. Usually, this wasn't something he would preoccupy himself with but at the very least, Shikamaru thought Ino deserved an ice cream treat. 

"So..." Ino started as she bit a chunk of frozen chocolate off of her ice cream bar. "Where is Chouji?" 

The absence of their friend was pretty obvious the moment Shikamaru propped his hotel door open for her. Choji's large stature was hard to miss and she had been thinking the three of them could bond for the night since the pair of best friends were stuck with her for the rest of the night. 

Plus oddly, Ino felt a touch uncomfortable spending the night alone with Shikamaru, especially when they only just managed to make nice again with each other. 

"Heh..."

Shikamaru's little snort of amusement quickly caught Ino's attention as she turned to face him, forgetting how uncomfortable it had been with them. 

"He's on a date again."

"Really?" Ino screeched with wide eyes and a wider smile. 

"Hnn..."

"The same girl from last night?" 

Shikamaru nodded as he walked further into the room while mindlessly munching on his ice cream bar. 

"That's so cute!" Ino squealed, remembering the girl from the caramel popcorn store in Germany. "I can't believe he's having the Disney romance I'd always dreamed of."

"What?" he frowned at her. "You wanted to date the caramel popcorn girl too?" 

"No!" Ino glared. Thankfully her treat was so yummy or she would have thrown it at his head. "I mean... Like my family would always come here for our family vacations and I always dreamed of catching the eye of a cute cast member who would show me around the parks and hold my hand," she gushed on. "We'd maybe even have a great first kiss somewhere special..." Though she always imagined it would be in front of Cinderella's castle and maybe even a few fireworks would go off right as they did! She gave another squeal at the very thought. 

"As if your dad would let you go off alone with some guy..." Shikamaru muttered, holding back a smirk.

"Hey! I could have had my mom distract him!"

"You've actually thought it through this much?" His nose twitched in disgust. 

"I live for this kind of romance," she answered, beginning to wonder why she had even brought it up. It wasn't like she was going to get her Disney romance. It was Choji that was out living her dream right now... He was probably holding this girl's hand while walking around Downtown Disney or Disney Boardwalk and they would later share an ice cream somewhere... She frowned suddenly when she realized it was actually a lot like what her day had been with Sasuke. A pang of guilt went through her when she realized she had actually forgotten about her date with him!

"So what? You just never... You know -- caught any cast member's eye then?" Shikamaru finally asked after the long pause. He didn't know why but he felt he needed to know more. She had never mentioned any guys on her last Disney vacations, or was she just hiding it from him?

Ino blinked in surprise that Shikamaru was actually continuing this conversation but happily welcomed the distraction, not wanting to think about why she had forgotten about Sasuke. "Oh well... I got the random free bottle of water from cast members or ice cream but none of them actually did anything more," she shrugged it off as she licked at her ice cream, which was beginning to melt. "I guess it just was meant for Choji..." While she hated missing out of the excitement of it all, she was happy that Choji was doing so well with a girl. It was a nice change.
