Shikamaru dozes in and out of sleep on the drive back with her fingers in his hair. By the end of the bus ride, even Ino is feeling a bit sleepy. She had finally gotten use to having Shikamaru's head on her lap and the movement of the bus lulling her to sleep as well. Thankfully they finally make it to the resort and all the bus' interior lights come on in a blinding fashion.
She pokes at Shikamaru's shoulder till she has him up and walking out of the bus. He's still heavy on her shoulder as they walk into the lobby. She doesn't think she going to be able to make it to the room and she's almost tempted into wheel him on the thing for suitcases when he suddenly seems to perk up.
"It smell like food in here... "
Ino has to stop herself from rolling her eyes. "Because the lobby is connected to the cafeteria."
"I should probably eat..."
"Why?" Ino frowned, thinking it would be a terrible idea to add food to the equation when he was queazy on the bus ride.
"Haven't eaten today..."
"What!?"

Ino isn't sure if she should feel better or worse that the start of her day was wrong. She had felt so unneeded when she went to wake up the boys to find out that they were capable of waking up on their own. They had both been prepared after their late morning accident the day before. It was like they had grown past her.
It obviously wasn't the case.
"Eat," Ino declared as she slid a tray with a sandwich and soup towards Shikamaru. It hadn't taken her long to realize that if Shikamaru was drinking on a completely empty stomach, of course he would feel awful. She had decided on a sandwich for the bread to soak up the extra alcohol and soup to get more liquids into him that weren't alcohol. Two bottles of water for them to share didn't hurt either.
"What were you thinking?" Ino questioned as Shikamaru started into his food. "You can't drink booze about in the hot Florida heat with no water or food all day."
"I had some popcorn..."
"You ate like one handful and that's it!" If he didn't feel so bad, she could have throttled him right then and there. She didn't care if there was a busy cafeteria around them. Instead she sat in the chair across from him in a huff with her arms crossed in front of her chest.
She watched him eat while she tried to recollect herself. "Why didn't you eat with Choji?"
He shrugged as he finished half of his sandwich. "Didn't feel like it..."
"Fine. Then why did you drink all that beer for?"
He just shrugged this time as she silently shrieked in annoyance. She had never been great at interrogating him. Only because she usually didn't need to! She usually just got him, even if his reasons could be stupid or lazy. She was better at getting him to do as she wanted but making him spill his guts didn't come easy if Shikamaru didn't want to.
"You're being ridiculous," she grabbed at the extra water bottle. "You're not one to drink that much! You had only like two drinks when I left you."
He didn't make any move to acknowledge her, which only frustrated her further. She was not going to get anywhere with him. She couldn't believe even while drunk the boy was a damned locked vault. "I hate you sometimes..."
He grunted as he started on his soup.
She just shook her head and went for another swig of her water. "There I was having an awesome day in EPCOT. Finally getting to drink around the world, which I didn't even get to finish because I had to come babysit you..." she grumbled as she moved to glance at her cellphone since having met up with Shikamaru. She was a bit disappointed to see there wasn't any texts from Sasuke. She had been hoping... "And my double date with Sasuke had been going so perfect too-"
In a flash, Shikamaru was standing up from the table with the spoon to his soup, clanking against the bowl. With her lips slightly parted, she watched surprised as he started for the door on his own like his drunken stumbling had never happened. "What are you-" but he was already gone before she could finish her question. She quickly grabbed for her small backpack and his tray of food. She put it away before chasing him out of the exit.
"What the hell, Shikamaru!?"

Author's Note: Okay... First off I'm so sorry for the wait! I realized I had neglected my other story for this one so I went to play catch up over there and got two chapters out before I noticed that now this one was being forgotten. I never knew how hard it was to be equal with my time between stories. Plus keeping my tumblr rp accounts active. It gets hard but I didn't forget you guys! I promise! I will not stop till ShikaIno get a proper happy ending!
One that Kishi should have given them!
But no! So now you guys are stuck with my second rate writing to see it. Lol
I've also gotten another crazy idea for a ShikaIno & NaruSaku story in my head and I actually need someone to bounce ideas off of! This story won't be started until this one ends I think though because I'm already terrible at updating it seems. Haha. But I would love to have someone around that I could plot this idea out with. The reason I would like this is because this idea is quite... Big and intricate. It could easily get TOO complicated so another head to rationalize with me would be great! Tell me if you're up for it!
Also I hope to get you guys another chapter out soon. This one is a bit short but I just wanted you guys to know I didn't forget about you guys!
Please don't forget to vote and comment! Love you guys!
