-Jooheon-

Everyone knows the legend of Yong Byungchul...

They know that a human encountered his clan and that his name was Jongyul but they don't tell Jongyul's side of it...For centuries humans and Ghouls have always had this raging war, our biggest enemies are the investigators. As we evolve so do they...

The Jongyul descendants are believe to be extinct, that we no longer are a part of this world. That we've disappeared...

It is true.

About 100 years ago, we resurfaced.

The Byungchul descendants had no idea that we were still alive, we went into hiding because we feared that being so little of us, he'd kill us. The legend says that Jongyul was defeated and that Byungchul regained his land along with new recruits to reassemble his clan. Little did he know that not all of my grandfather's children had died, he knew sooner or later Byungchul would return for revenge and so he hid my father, his 2 little brothers and 3 sisters. There were still 6 remaining hiers to his name, that they'd be the ones to restore and claim their revenge.

All those years just waiting, waiting patiently for the right moment to strike.

Byungchul is still alive, despite our efforts in battle. He took everything from us but even so, we took something that was the most important thing in a man's life...his wife.

Father killed her with his own bare hands.

Unfortunately I hadn't been born yet but I can just imagine it, a triumph. I only wish that it could've been me, taking a life that meant so much to him just as what he did with my grandfather.

Once I was born, I was made the new leader of the clan. The only problem is...I have to prove myself worthy. It's a big weight on my shoulders but no one understands, not even Blaze knows everything there is to the Jongyul clan.

So many secrets...

Dark secrets.

As I entered my home, my parents scowl.

"Jooheon, When will you get rid of that insufferable girl?"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Blaze" My mother said.

"She's my girlfriend, I can't just get rid of her like she's trash" I said.

"Son, she isn't worthy of you." Father spoke.

"You can't choose who I love and who I want to be with" I said.

"She is insufferable! I despise her very face! She cannot be with you and that's final! You belong with someone of our blood line, not some sleazy girl who doesn't belong to one or the other"

"I love her!"

"You know what you must do! This cannot go on!" Father exclaimed. "Your job is to fulfill your destiny and the destiny of our clan, understood?!"

I don't want too...

"But...Blaze has always been there for me. She's not like any ghoul I've met in my entire existence...Why can't you just understand that what we have is real?"

"Real? Tch. Please, there are better ghouls out there. That girl is awful, I've seen how she acts. Do you truly think that she will be a good wife? A suited wife for the Jongyul clan? For the future of our existence?"

I sighed.

"You should've let her die at the hands of those investigators. You would've saved yourself a lot of trouble son, you know your responsibility to your family and this clan."
