Chapter 2: Schooling
The school was something different. I walked down long hallways while passing faces. I soon stood in front of my blue locker and twirled the lock 19, 34, 12. The lock clicked and I pushed up on the metal piece unlocking my locker. I opened my locker and emptied the countenance of my bag into the locker. I looked at the door of my locker and saw my class schedule taped to the door. First period I have history so I grabbed a notebook, binder, and folder of the same color and put it in my bag and shut the locker door. Room 204 was on the second level so I had to walk up the flight of stairs. I walked into the room and looked at the time I had about a minute left before class. I sat in one of the open seats and looked at all the other kids. Which one of these kids is the one I am supposed to recruit. Lucifer had to put me in classes with these kids, right? The bell rang and the teacher walked in.
"I'm Mister Smith. Welcome to your first day in medieval history. You will make a project to day with a partner and turn it in as your first grade. I'll pass out textbooks as you work," His voice was dry and emotionless. He read through the attendance list fairly fast and continued talking. "Everyone stand up and find a partner. Only groups of two no exceptions."
I stood up and watched as everyone found partners. One girl walked over to me and asked to be partners with me. I said yes because I had no reason to say no. We had taken are seats a boy ran up to are table.
"Sky, I thought we were going to be partners." He said his voice was full of concern. His dark almond colored eyes looked like my black eyes. He has blonde hair that had a swept looked to it and hung over his forehead covering up his tan skin. He was wearing a moss green t-shirt and dark jeans with clunky army like boots. My partner just rolled her eyes.
"Oh come on U," she almost whined "You seriously want me to leave my partner?"
"Yes, I mean you don't even know her." his voice became a little more force full, but his expression got softer. She was about to respond when the teacher interrupted the conversation.
"Hey! What did I say about groups? Only two in one. You!" he pointed at the boy "Go find a partner. Leave them alone." Mr. Smith said before turning his back to the class. The boy sighed than leaned down to my partner and whispered in her ear. He stood up and gave me a disgusted look and walked off.
"Hi, my name is Sky. Sorry about that U never does that. I've known him forever he is always so sweet and caring I don't know what came over him." She said while apologetically shaking her head.
"It's fine. My name is Eve, you can call me Evie. Did you just say that guy's name is U?"
"Yeah, His name is actually Uriel, but I don't like that name so he said to call him U." She replied while shrugging her shoulders.
"I just need to ask. Are you two together? She laughed a little and replied.
"No, were just close. I get that question a lot though I think its because he's a little overprotective when it comes to me." Sky said as she wrote down the assignment. Sky and I turned in are project early so we just talked until the bell rang.
"Hey, what period do you have lunch?" Sky said to me as we packed up.
"um, fourth period"
"Me to! We should totally," the rest of her thought was cut off by U wrapping his arm around her and pushing her out the door murmuring about the time.
Why does U hate me? I thought about it more as I made my way into the gym. The wood floor had a polished like shine but wasn't slippery. I walked into the girls locker room and changed. I sat down on the floor like everyone else and thought about the ways to convince people to sell there souls. The teacher came out from her office and barked at the class.
