Chapter 5: Unholy
I sat there sitting next to Uriel. I was taking in all that Uriel said. He was Adam. That’s why he looked so familiar. He never hated me he hated what he did to me. He said his biggest regret wasn’t saving me. I squeezed his hand and looked at him. I needed to comfort him.
“When I saw you the first day I knew it was you. You look just as pretty as you did back then.” He said to me as I wrapped my arms around him.
“It’s ok.”
“I’ve been hiding something from the others. I need to tell them.” He said as he stood up and walked back into the family room where the others were sitting. I trailed behind him. Uriel clasped his hands together and cleared his voice.
“I’ve been hiding something from you. My fate has been changed I’m changing into Apollyon.” He murmured.
“The unholy angel?” Serafili said. Uriel nodded.
“Apollyon is the unholy angel of destruction. That’s why you been acting so different.” Mika’il remarked.
“It’s because of Eve, since I didn’t save her and train her like I was supposed to.” Uriel whispered as he looked at his feet. “She was supposed to be another archangel of knowledge, but I failed.”
“Wait, I’m supposed to be an archangel?” I interrupted.
“Yes Eve, Everyone who has an archangel assigned to them is. If you have the opportunity to become an archangel it makes Satan want you. Since you’re not an archangel yet he can take you to his side. Uriel was Adam so that he could stay close and protect you then eventually train you to become an archangel like him, one of knowledge.” Mika’il stated.
Everyone sat quietly for a moment taking it in slowly. Uriel had left the room again, while Serafili shifted her weight uncomfortably hoping this moment would end soon so they could return to normal.
“When will he change?” I asked.
“When the Lamb breaks the Seventh Seal.” Jophiel whispered.
“What?”
“In Revelations it speaks of a Lamb. When the Lamb breaks the Seventh Seal us seven will stand in front of God. He will give us each trumpets. Another Angel will appear with the smoke of incense, mixed with the prayers of the saints and will pour them out. On Earth there will be thunder, Lightning and earthquakes. The first Angel will blow his trumpet, hail and fire mixed with blood will consume the Earth. One third of Earth on fire, and one third of the trees burn; all the grass is consumed. The second trumpet will sound and a mountain of fire will be thrown in the sea. A third of the water became blood, a third of all things living in the sea die, and a third of all the ships on the sea will crumble. The third Angel’s trumpet causes a flaming star to fall out of the sky, the star is bitterness. Many people will die. The fourth angel will blow his trumpet and the a third of the sun, the moon, and the stars are struck and it will become dark. The fifth trumpet brings the first terror.” Jophiel said his voice grim.
“And that’s where I come in. I’m going to be the first terror.” Uriel mummers as he returns into the room. Everyone sat silently unable to find words that could be said.
“So can we help her, she was once destined for archangel hood, and she’s still in some way pure. He gives second chances maybe he can give her one as well.” Jophiel said cutting the silence.
“I’m unsure Jophiel, she is now unholy. The lord does give second chances so I’m unsure,” pronounced Mika’il his voice full of weary. This topic was not one that Mika’il wanted.
Suddenly Suryan made a noise he griped the glass in his hand and the glass shattered in his hand. His eyes became white and he looked into the air his mouth twitching while the blood dripped from his hand, “Mika’il, There is an unbalance in the world. Another demon has entered the mortal realm. It’s a powerful one like Eve, but definitely not like Satan. It’s changing, morphing into something I can’t tell. He’s becoming clearer now it’s Cain. He’s coming; Satan wouldn’t have sent him if this wasn’t of importance. I can see he wants something; he wants Eve back so he sent Cain to get her. He doesn’t know that she is near us.” Suryan said aloud.
The room which was already silent seemed to become quieter at the new noise. Suryan looked at the ground then he walked out of room into the kitchen.
“Wait we’re talking about Cain, like Eve and Uriel’s son Cain.” Sputtered Serafili
“Cain the first born son of Eve, from the book of Genesis; the lord did not accept Cain’s offering or him. So he killed his brother Abel making him a puppet to Satan.” Mika’il said. He stared off into the distance before absorbing the room with his voice again, “Serafili send a request to the lord.” He gently shook his head at Uriel who eyes had filled with hope at the words, watching as the hope turned to darkness. Mika’il then turned to me and nodded his head. Serafili ran out of the house without a single word, leaving us all in silence.
