My pupils grew big in search of light as stared into pure darkness for what seemed like hours, trying to process what the heck just happened. But I can't. Did I just do something...nice? Am I possessed or something?
I will be honest, it felt right. I don't know why I'm figuring out the 'right thing' just now...probably because I was kinda brainwashed about right and wrong.
Soon, my eyes adjusted to the dark and they gave up fighting for what they wanted. Just like me.
I ruffled my hair in frustration, let out a groan of anger, and laid on my back. The foundation that was pushing back against me felt like an earthen floor, grasslike matter tickling my ears and cheeks.
My face twitched slightly in an effort not to sneeze as I felt my allergies kick in. My eyes grew watery. There must be some type of pollen down here if my allergies are back.
Like, seriously?! What the heck, dad?! Making your floor out of grass is completely stupid!!
I sat up and scooted backwards, only to bump into a wall. I moved forward and bumped into another wall. I grazed my hands on the wall, latching them onto an object that was jutting out from it.
One push on that thing, and I was already screaming—yes, I was screaming. Don't judge—as I felt my body being swung around and around.
It was only a matter of time before it stopped, leaving me in a bright hallway. It was weird. There was no one in the hallway. And I have no idea where I am, which could mean I don't know where my father is and what he's doing.
Which means I can't save (Y/N). YET!! I can't save her yet!! But...but I will. I have to.
I thought about what he could be doing to her; taking more and more information from her. Hacking into her computer and stealing even more files. And then, brainwashing her so that she doesn't remember anything in the past 2weeks.
And if that's true, she...won't remember me. Gosh! Why did he have to buy all of this technology?!
I shook those nightmares away and started to walk. I walked and walked and walked until a girl came into view.
She looked like she worked for my dad, but she looked about my age. Dad's recruiting innocent children! She had his name sewed onto her blouse and her glasses were all businesslike.
I stomped up to her and stared her in the eyes. She was sitting at a little desktop with a swivel chair, typing stuff on her phone. But I seemed to remind her she has work to do. She looked surprised to see me.
"How may I help you, sir?,"she asked quickly.
Following my dad's actions, I slammed my hands on her desk, causing her to jump slightly. Her glasses on the other hand, flew into the air and landed on the floor. She was practically blind now.
"I am your boss's son,"I stated confidently,"And he'll believe anything I say." That isn't really true anymore but this is for a good cause.
"S-sir, I can't see you. P-please let me--"
"What would happen when I tell him you're slacking off? He wouldn't like that, huh?"
Her eyes grew wide. Either she was scarred or she really wants to see my face. "What do you want? I'll do anything!!"
"Give me your phone," I said, smirking from courage.
I'm doing really well right now. I'm one step closer to saving (Y/N). But...I still don't know what just happened.
