"We're here,"he said, his voice ringing through my ears like an alarm clock, waking me from my deep daydream that I was hoping I'd never wake up from.
Me, just wanting to get this over with, opened the door myself this time and started walking towards the restaurant. It was pretty big, if you ask me. And it was full with customers.
I heard pounding footsteps behind me, but I chose to ignore them. Finally, that slowpoke caught up with me.
Gently, he slowly laced his fingers with mine. My body stiffened as he stopped in front of a window, staring at our reflection.
"We look very...we look great. People will totally believe we're an absolutely killer couple,"he said, already getting a bit cocky.
I had to admit, even I was starting to believe we were a couple. I need to just remember that this is because he doesn't want to 'embarrass' himself. Nothing else.
Nothing else.
We walked in, and I instantly smelled fresh food cooking. I heard the scraping of forks and plates or spoons and bowls, and the ever growing loudness of people's conversations.
Thankful that Jimin made reservations, we followed the waiter to our table. It was only a matter of time before JungKook and some other girl came into the restaurant and took a seat in front of us.
"Annyeonghasaeyo. I'm YuNa-inmida, JungKook's girlfriend,"the girl who apparently was YuNa introduced herself.
She talks even more formally than me when I was a kid and I was talking to my grandfather.
Jimin abruptly jabbed my side with his elbow, signaling me to say something. This is my chance to make a first impression!
But all that came out was,"Hi...um...I'm...(Y/N)...,"making me sound like a shy girl who Jimin bosses around. But I think I just made things more embarrassing for both me and him.
I looked down, feeling my cheeks burn red in shame. The waiter came and took our orders of food, bowing politely before taking off.
I could feel Jimin's gaze on me as I reached for an appetizer. I felt tiny droplets of sweat on the top of my forehead. This is too much.
I can't do this.
I kindly excused myself from the booth we were currently sitting in and headed to the bathroom. I turned on the sink, splashing water on my face. Good thing I wore waterproof mascara, which I didn't even know existed.
After I dried my face off, I stared at myself in the mirror. I'm trying really hard to keep myself awake and not to faint. I don't want to seem like a damsel in distress.
I'm okay. I can do this. I'm fine. Deep breaths. No regrets.
I don't know why I'm so worried about this double date. Probably because I do NOT want Jimin's lips on mine—ew. And the fact that I have to act like I love him...is hard. I'm not that good of an actress, fyi.
I sighed, pulling the door open, only to be slammed back against a wall. I squinted my eyes in an effort to see who this person was, but everything was already getting blurry because of some water that is still in my eyes.
N-not 'cause I'm crying in pain. I-I'm too mature for that.
"Hyung!,"was the last word I heard before everything went black. So much for not being a damsel.
