Sam's POV

I woke up to the tv blasting and Luke gone. I searched the house and he was nowhere to be seen. I looked at the note on the fridge.

"Gone to the store. We're out of water. Be back around 10. Love you. xx" I smiled and turned to the clock. Of course, it had to be 9. I frowned and slipped on a hoodie and black skinny jeans. I slid into my flats, grabbed my phone and keys then left. I'm going to try and find Luke. He said he was at the store, but I have a bad feeling about it. I parked the car and walked in. All he said was that he was out of water and needed an hour to get it. That sounds a little strange. I walked to the aisle with water and saw a big group of immature teenagers. They were yelling "fight!" And nobody tried to stop them. I pushed through the crowd. I gasped at what I saw.

"Luke!" I yelled. His head and nose was bleeding. He could barely hold his eyes open. He looked around confused. Then, the same guy that beat him up from school jumped in.

"Look at who we have here. Luke's girlfriend, Sam. It's a shame I have to do this." The guy's name is Shane. He pulled his fist back and swung at me. I ducked, grabbed his arm, and pulled it behind his back.

"You have NO right to beat him! What did he do to you, Shane?" Shane quit fighting me. He turned around and shook his head.

"He acts innocent, Sam. He's not. He hurt my sister. Told her he loved her, got what he wanted and left. I hate it when someone disrespects women after my dad beat my mom. Then Luke came along and did that to my sister. It hurt Sam. I don't like it when guys disrespect girls. I've always kind of liked you. When I heard he liked you I went crazy. I thought he would hurt you. Then now, he's actually with you. I'm scared shitless Sam. I'm afraid he'll hurt you." I stared at him with wide eyes.

"You like me?" I asked and he shrugged then nodded. I sat next to Luke and wrapped him up. I pulled a few napkins out of my purse and cleaned his nose. I held one to his head and the crowd left. Now it was me, Luke, and Shane.

"I'm sorry. I don't like you Shane. I love Luke. Sure we have our ups and downs, but we work through it. We're doing perfectly fine. Now please, leave." I said as calmly as I could. I kissed Luke's cheek. He blinked his eyes.

"Sam? Are you ok?" He asked. I smiled and nodded. Shane sat down and put his face in his hands. I helped Luke up.

"Let's go home. Forget the water." I said walking away. I got Luke in the car and drove away.

"Why did you leave to get water, and needed an hour for it?" I asked getting curious. He glanced out the window and looked back.

"I. Wanted to drop by Cal's and have alone time with the boys." He said shrugging. I nodded. Is he getting tired of me? I turned the car around and headed to Cal's.

"You need guy time. I'm sorry I've been keeping you away from them." I said and he kissed me deeply.

"I enjoyed being with you. Right now, I need to talk to Calum. He said it was important." I nodded.

"I love you." He said getting out.

"Love you too." I said and he closed the door. I made sure he got in and drove away. My head was spinning with everything that happened. I pulled into the garage and walked into the house. I grabbed some Lemonade Ice water and sat on the couch.

"It's all fun and games now, but the storm awaits." I whispered. I pulled my phone out. There was someone calling me. I don't recognize the number though.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey. I'm with Luke. I don't think he loves you anymore." There was giggling and groaning.
