Sam's POV

We woke up to Hillary signing papers.

"Morning. We're suppose to be out within an hour or so." She said a little too happy. I have her a slight smile and tried to break from Luke's grip.

"Baby don't leave. Cuddle with me." He said while yawning. I smiled and laid back down. He tightened his grip on my waist and kissed my cheek.

"Good morning Luke," Hillary said. I watched her carefully as she got up.

"Uh, yeah. Morning." Luke said. Hillary walked to the bathroom and before I knew it, she was throwing up. I jumped up quickly and held her hair back.

"Luke, call a nurse." I called from the bathroom. A minute later, a nurse walked in.

"What can I help you all with?" She asked. I looked at her name tag. Nancy.

"Well, Nancy, she started throwing up out of the blue. Is that her morning sickness or could something be wrong?" I asked. She looked at us for a second before doing an ultrasound.

"It's just morning sickness. She doesn't have a fever and the baby is ok. Call me back if you have any questions." She said and we nodded to her as she left. I helped Hillary lay back down and sat in Luke's lap. I picked up my phone.

"Wow. It's already noon." I said.

"Yeah, I was up and down all night. The nurses and doctors kept coming in and checking on her. I saw you up one time, but I didn't want to bother you i case we couldn't fall back asleep." Luke said. I smiled and kissed him. We heard a cough from the doorway.

"Um, who are you?" I asked. The man wasn't in a hospital uniform.

"I'm James Tanner." My eyes widened. Luke looked at me confused.

"D-dad?" I asked and he nodded. He smirked at me evilly and pulled me off of Luke.

"H-how did you find me?" I asked. I hated my dad. He always beat me for no reason when I was a kid. He left my mom when I was 7, and now ten years later he shows up.

"You're mom called me. She told me Adam killed himself. I was overwhelmed with joy. Hillary called me and told me to come up here." I turned to Hill.

"Why?" Was all I said. She shrugged.

"I thought you two should try and get along now. I mean its been ten years and you have a lot to tell him."

"That doesn't mean you just fucking call him to come up here!" I yelled at her.

"Why don't you want me here?" I stared coldly at my dad. He's the reason why I have a temper. I used it to cover up his abusing ways.

"Because, you're an asshole! You always smacked me around when I was a kid! Then, you walked out like you didn't even care!" I yelled at him. Before I knew it, he had raised his hand and slapped me hard. He grabbed my arm and squeezed it as hard as he could. He kept hitting me. I stood there not trying to fight back. I was so use to it by now that whenever he beat me, I just let him. I was suddenly grabbed up and sitting on the couch. Luke was between me and my dad.

"Don't you ever hit her! She did nothing to you! Leave now before I call security up here." Luke growled. My dad shrugged and flipped us off before he left. I was curled up in a ball on the couch, clenching my cheek and arm. Luke wrapped his arms around me and started kissing me.

"Baby girl, I'm so sorry that happened. You didn't deserve it." Luke said. I was shaking and finally wrapped my arms around Luke's neck.

"He tried to kill me once. He almost succeeded too." I whispered. He had tried to kill me. He use to come home drunk and chase me with pills and a knife. Luke rubbed my back and tightened his grip on me.
