It was a Wednesday. We had gone to the bar after a long and tiring case. I can't remember how much I had to drink just that it was too much. So being the kind soul he was, Jay drove me home. Damn-it what was I thinking?.I invited him in and one thing led to another.

All clothes were lost within ten minutes. We had sex. Three times, each time better than the last. He slept over and it was one of the best nights of my life. Aside from when Hank and Camille made me part of their family.

Three weeks later though, that night became her worst nightmare. But she didn't know that yet.

All I knew was I felt horrible. I was queasy and felt sick all the time. I noticed it really happening when we were reviewing a case. Three women burned and shot to death all every Wednesday. For some reason it was just enough to throw me over the edge.

Antonio was talking about how each woman was burned and where when I gagged. I tried to keep it down but not obviously. It was getting very obvious that I was uncomfortable. " Erin you look pale and shaky, are you okay?" Mouse asked interrupting Antonio.
"Um... Ya I'll be back I'm gonna be sick" I said placing my hand over mouth.

I then ran downstairs into the women's bathroom. When I got there I immediately hurled into the toilet. Everything I had for breakfast and lunch did not want to stay in my system.

Burgess who had just happen to be walking into the bathroom to put in her earrings, immediately ran over to me when she saw me.

"Erin! Are you okay? What can I do to help?"

"Nothing I'm.." I didn't even get to finish my sentence before I hurled again. Kim being the nice and caring person she was held my hair and flushed the toilet for me when I finished.

"Nothing I'm fine. It's probably just a bug" I said waving my hand in a tone of dismissal.

I knew she was going to say something else but she wisely decided against it and helped me up. I thanked her and ran back up the stairs.

"Before you guys ask I'm fine, nothing to worry about"  I said sitting down on the desk. I grabbed some water and drank that as well. I kept telling myself that it was just a bug and I was forcing myself to believe it. We finished our de-brief and everyone was heading out. I walked downstairs before I had Trudy stop me.

"Erin Lindsay Freeze" She shouted across the room. I turned and walked back to her.

"What can I do for you?" I asked her

"Want to tell me what happened in the bathroom with Burgess today? Now I know that you didn't kiss and you guys are just friends but what happened because she looked pretty concerned."

"Nothing happened. I promise. I've said this once and I'll say it again. I'm fine"

"Are you sure?" She asked

"Sargent. When I say I'm fine, it means I'm fine. Now goodbye and have a nice night." I smiled as I walked out.

I drove home and sat on the couch. My head was spinning and I still felt sick. I ate some saltines hoping to ease the feeling and sipped a bit of ginger ale.

I sighed. I felt exhausted. So I turned on the tv and went to bed.

I woke up at 7:00 the next morning. Unfortunately I woke up to being sick. I had time to put on my robe before dashing to the toilet. Throwing up every thing I had left in my stomach.

After about 30 minutes of hurling and dry heaving I was able to take a shower and rinse the vomit taste out of my mouth. I guess the sickness was still there. I sighed and finished my shower.

Not to raise any judgement I got out my hairspray and brush and put my hair in a short high ponytail and then sprayed it. That way not only would it look normal but in case I threw up again my hair would be out of my face.

I walked in and before heading upstairs went to Trudy. "Hey can I borrow Burgess please? It will only take a couple minutes." I asked more like pleaded

"Sure but you don't have to whine for her. Burgess come!" She shouted

"Yes Sargent?" She asked looking at me and then back.

"My office now. Detective Lindsay wants to talk to you" She nodded towards me.

"Actually can I take her on a drive?"

"Sure just don't lose her"

"I won't. I promise" I said before heading out
