Before I knew it, my once tiny newborn baby had grown into a growing baby. Currently today was Tuesday. Right now I was on the floor sitting next to the blanket I had spred out. She was starting to grow hair too. We expected her hair to be blonde or sandy blonde when she grew up. Over the past weeks we learned a lot about our baby Baylie.

For example she loves to lie on her back on a blanket with me rubbing her tummy. We also learned her cries, noises, likes and dislikes. Bringing me out of my thoughts she started to grunt. Her grunt could mean two things. Either she was going to the bathroom in her diaper or she had to go but couldn't. The difference was her face. Right now it was all scrunched up which meant she was having trouble.

So to soothe her, first I undressed her leaving her in only the diaper. Next I took a wet cloth and gently patted her belly. For some reason it always worked and I smiled as soon as I saw the scrunched up look go away and Baylie's face turn into a smile.

But of course that wouldn't last long. She sniffled twice and then cried. I knew this cry was for a change. "Alright sweet Baylie let's change you" I cooed picking her up and moving to the changing table.

I changed her quickly and put her in some fresh clothes. When she was happy again I put her in the playpen. This way I could focus on feeding my six year old breakfast.

"Alright miss Emmi. What do you want for breakfast?"

"Bagel please" she replied.

So I set on making that. Luckily that didn't take very long. As soon as the toaster dinged, Baylie began to cry again. This was a cry of hunger because it was like wailing.

"Emmi will you get your sister please?" I asked spreading the cream cheese.

She nodded and went to her. "Hi Baylie" she cooed to the screaming infant. So Esmée picked her up and carried her to me. I took Baylie in trade for handing off the food. Once I made sure Emmi was satisfied I went into the other room for privacy so I could breastfeed my baby. I loved that time. It was bonding time. But today I couldn't get her to stop crying and latch on.

"Come on baby girl. Shhh" I bounced her a little before she finally latched on and started to eat. After a couple minutes I switched sides and stroked her face as she ate while her cries slowly dissipated. "Good girl" I stroked her cheek soothing her. When she finished, I raised her to my shoulder so I could burp her. Just before I started I heard the door open.

"Daddy!" A little voice said

It was Jay. My night in shining armor. He put his keys in the bowl and kissed Esmée before coming around to the living room where I was.

"Hi" I whispered happily.

"Hi babe. How are you?" He asked kissing me passionately.

"I'm good. This little ones getting there, how about you?" I asked kissing him back.

"Ready to be with my family. I worked for a few hours before Hank let me come home. "Has she burped yet?" He wondered noting her position.

Shaking my head no, I rubbed her back. "Can I do it?" He asked me.

I nodded happily handing Baylie over. Done like a true professional, I said in my mind after he did it easily. He then placed a blanket over her and stroked her hair as she fell asleep.

"I love you Jay" sighing and leaning into him. He then opened his free arm and brought me close, kissing my temple. "Thank you Baby. For everything that you have given to me. I love yo too much to ever let you go. I'm not strong enough. Please don't leave"

Because my hormones were all over the place, tears streamed down my face before I could stop them. I was about to wipe them away, but Jay beat me to it. I just needed to cry. About Justin, hard things and the number of things I went through being pregnant with my daughter.

"Come here" he soothed rubbing my back. "I know baby...I know". After I got it out he brought his hand to my cheek. Wiping away all but one tear. "I hear our baby crying" I whispered.

"She has the worst timing" Jay said shaking his head. Hi princess" cooing and bringing her into my arms. Once settled she stopped crying. "There you go sweet pea" whispering to her as she whimpered again.

She was just hungry was all. Because I didn't want to put her down again, I brought the blanket and took her to our bed. I decided to breastfeed her because she liked it more then a regular bottle. Jay then began to kiss her little head as she drank the milk.

"Good girl" he cooed, stroking her head. "Your such a good mom" he said lovingly.

"And your an amazing father" I replied kissing him.
