I pull up to our soft white and dusty brown town home with a pastel yellow door, and park my car in front of it. I walk up the front steps and open the door to see Olivia putting on a sliver necklace with a small engraved infinity sign on it. Standing in front of the mirror she admires how well done her eyeliner is. She looks over and smiles at be before grabbing her coat. She is wearing a medium length blue dress that I got for her at Charlotte Russe. She's wearing the dress with her black tights and her favorite pair of black hi-top converse. Her hair is tied up into her signature bun, and her lips are a dark pink that compliments her eyes just perfectly. Just standing here looking in the hallway light, her skin is glowing, her brown eyes are sparkling, and her smile is lighting up the hallway, she is so stunningly beautiful in every way. Just in that moment she catches me staring at her.

"Hey hey hey, what do you think you're doing?" She turns to face me and puts her hand on her hip.

"Who me?" I ask teasingly

"Yes you." She teases back, and sticks out her tongue, and I chuckle.

"I'm looking at you missy" I say

"Why?" She asks, knowing the answer but wanting to hear it anyway.

"Just because." I say back and hold out my hand for her to take so we could go to the car.

"Ugh babe!" She whines childishly

"Because my love, you're so beautiful." I say affectionately. She doesn't say a word, but I can tell she takes the compliment when her cheeks turn as red as my hair.

I close the door behind her, and walk around the front to get in myself. I start the car, and turn on her favorite seat. The playlist of Olivia and I's songs is playing through the speakers of the car. As I pull out onto the road, I place my right hand on mid-thigh, and tap my fingers to the beat of Ed Sheeren. When that song ends and the next one begins by the first three note we look at each other and bob our heads to the beat until the lyrics start. We both start singing Never Shout Never and rocking out as we drive to Red Robin.

As we pull into the parking lot, Olivia jumps out to put our name on the list. When I walk in we are seated right away. No waiting, just the way we like it. We are seated at a booth near a window. When the waiter come over to ask for our drink and appetizer orders, we order our usual bottomless root beer floats, cheesy fries, and a towering onion rings. The Waiter writes down our order, and leaves to go put it in.

"So, tell me about Nathan." She starts the conversation I've been anxious to start.

"Well, he's seven years old, he likes dogs, and spending time with family. He's semi verbal, and knows some sign language. He's so cute too! He has beautiful red hair!" I explain to her.

"What's his condition?" She askes

"He has Down syndrome, autism, and ADHD." I tell her.

"And he obviously loves orange juice." She mocks. We both laugh.

"Yes, he loves orange juice." She grabs my hand and we smile at each other, laughing about Nathan's love for orange Juice.

"May I take your order?" The waiter interrupts our laughter.

"I'll take a seafood scatter, but instead of coleslaw I want mac and cheese." Olivia orders.

"For you ma 'me" He looks at me.

"Clucks and mac for me. And I want campfire sauce with my fries" I order.

"You got it ladies, your apps should be right out." He says before he leaves.

"Thank you" Olivia and I say in unison, then smile and lightly chuckle about it.

"Nathan sounds amazing." Olivia looks at me with adoring eyes.

"He really does, I wish he was going to be taking more than two sessions with me." I frown

"Hey, you have kids come and go all the time. Aren't you used to it?" She asks in a comforting voice.

"Yeah of course, but it's just different, because it's two session, normally you do at least 6 sessions."

"Hey, who knows maybe he'll come back." She's so good at comforting me.

"Maybe, I would-"I was interrupted by the arrival of our appetizers. Olivia's eyes widen when steamy cheese fries are placed in front her. She digs into them as soon as they are placed on the table. She picks one up and watches the cheese string from the rest of the fries, and bacon peels off the cheese and onto the plate. I take the top onion ring off the tower and dunk it into the sauce, then pop it into my mouth.

"What we're you saying love?" Olivia asks with a fistful of fries in her hand.

"When?" I ask confused.

"Right before we got our food." She rolls her eyes.

"Oh, I was saying how much I would love it if Nathan did come back" I take another onion ring.

"Oh okay. Yeah that would be great for you, you seem fond of him." She smiles her soft comforting smile.

"Yeah, definitely." I close the conversation about Nathan.

When our food comes, we talk about random thing, and laugh a lot. Dinner with Olivia is always so much fun, no matter why we decide to go out, even if it's just plain laziness. Even if we don't talk about anything in particular, or even at all, we still share that special connection. It's the connection that keeps us close; the rings on our fingers and the love in our hearts. When we finish eating, we pay the check, and get back in the car. She holds my hand and tells me how much she's gonna miss this place, but how excited she is to start a new life. The ride home was all talk about Canada, and our trip. I never thought either one of us would be this excited.
