Clear blue skies, miles of cornfields, and the closest thing to a car was a large tractor going 30 miles under the speed limit. Yeah, I was definitely back home. I looked back at my son, who was happily passed out in his car seat. I sure envy you right now buddy. When I left this place, I swore I would never come back. Maybe it was overly dramatic for me to act that way, but at seventeen I really didn't know how else to react. The population of this place was what? Just under 1,000? Hell, the nearest Starbucks was over 50 miles away. The biggest thing in that town was getting a freaking McDonalds.

It was hard to believe that it had been over two years since I was back here. I had moved in with my aunt and uncle in the city when I had found out I was pregnant. Yeah, I didn't want to leave my mom and dad behind. They understood my reason why I had to leave. Your daughter's boyfriend of 3 years and the father of her unborn baby cheated on her out of jealousy. I'm sure if that were to happen to you; that you would do that same thing. I made sure up until now that Dean wouldn't even know our son existed.

Yeah, maybe I was a total bitch for keeping a man away from his son. What he did to me was completely wrong; he never trusted me and thought sleeping with my best friend in his bed was perfect way to get back at me. What did he think I had done? Well, for starters I apparently slept a ton of the guys in town. Why in the hell would I do that? The handsomest guy in town was my boyfriend, my first love. I didn't even think about other guys when I was with him. Dean was just a jealous idiot, and he wouldn't have believed me when I told him that he was going to be a dad. Well, there was no denying it now.

Jonah looked exactly like his dad.

"Mommy, are we there yet?" My son yawns.

I smile, "We're almost there baby."

"Why are we going to live in with granny?" He asks as he looks outside.

I frown, "Well since Grandpa is in heaven now, we are going live with granny so she won't be lonely."

"Yeah! She won't be lonely with us there Mommy!" He responds with a spike of energy.

Goodness, this little boy was my world.

I turn onto a dirt road that lead straight to my parent's ranch. My mom probably told the entire town that I was moving back home. Dean would have definitely heard about it. I wasn't ready to tell him about Jonah. However, our son was extremely excited to meet him. I didn't want him to grow up not knowing about his dad. I've told him several stories about Dean, and all his adventures on the cattle ranch. My mom's house was in sight now, the glorious three story country home that I used to call my castle. I had so many memories running through my head, I'm pretty sure I was getting a headache. It didn't surprise me that Mom was outside on the front porch waiting for us. Jonah was screaming with excitement to see her as I parked my car.

"Wait Jonah," I tell him as he tries to get out of his car seat, "Let Mommy help you out."

My mother was to his door before I could get out of the car. I smile was she picks him up and smothers him with kisses. She really loved him, and so did my dad. They visited every holiday and birthday until dad passed away. I watched as she told him all about his new bedroom and carried him inside. Great, she was leaving me with all the moving boxes. I roll my eyes and start bringing my things inside.

The house looked exactly as it did before I left. I heard Jonah's voice screaming upstairs as I headed for my old bedroom. It was nice that my mother turned the guest room into Jonah's own room. My room also hadn't changed as I glared at the pink floral wallpaper, and the posters of my favorite country music artists. I noticed the pictures of Dean and I that I left on my bed. Shit, this was going to be harder than I thought. It took me over twenty minutes to carry all my stuff to the house. I had one more box to get as I headed one last time to my car.
