I am restless pretty much the rest of the night knowing that Dean was trying to sleep on the couch downstairs. Was he as restless as I was? My eyes wander onto my alarm clock. 7 am. It was time to get up, but was I ready to? I hide under my covers as I hear my son yelling from down the hall. Maybe if he doesn't see me, he won't pounce me.

"Mommy! Wake up! Wake up!" He screams as he pounces on top of me.

He pulls the cover away from me and greets me with a hug. Little does he know that he's fallen for my trap as I pull the covers over us and attack him with my kisses. He begs me to stop but I don't listen. I snuggle him close to me. Poor baby, you won't be able to escape now. My mom soon comes into my room and tells us to head downstairs. Jonah jumps off the bed and follows her downstairs. I sigh and sluggishly follow. They don't seem to notice Dean is in the living room snoring. Well, I guess I was wrong for thinking he'd be restless too.

I roll my eyes and shake him until he wakes up, "Dean, its morning."

"Five more minutes," He mumbles as he turns over.

Before I can try shaking him some more, Jonah is calling for him. His eyes jolt open when his son is attacking him the same way he had been attacking me earlier. I smile and head to the kitchen. Welcome to parenthood Dean Henderson. Mom is preparing biscuits and gravy. Instinctively, I walk over to her and give her a kiss on the cheek.

"Morning Momma," I say as I sit down at the table.

She smiles, "Morning baby. I see that Dean spent the night?"

Oh I hear the sarcasm in your voice.

"Yeah, and nothing happened so quit acting so coy," I comment as the boys walk into the room.

Jonah is giggling in Dean's arms who is all but too happy to see his son. My mom is putting the biscuits in the oven when he comes and gives her a kiss on the cheek just as I did earlier. Dean was always very appreciative of my mom, and she treated him like a son. I mean he was pretty much glued to my hip the entire time we dated. Well, most of the time.

"Morning Annie," He smiles as he puts Jonah in his booster seat, "Morning Cass."

"Yeah good morning," I reply as I try not to meet eye contact with him.

Jonah is beaming with excitement, "Where is Daddy gonna take me?"

"I don't know sweetie," I say with a small smile, "Mommy isn't coming."

"So it's just gonna be me and Daddy?"

"Yes baby," I say as Mom hands me some orange juice.

Dean sits next to Jonah as he drinks a cup of coffee. We sit in silence listening to our son express his excitement until my mom brings the food to the table. It had been a long time since I had been in this kitchen with Dean. The last time was a few hours before I found him in bed with someone else. He acted so cold to me that morning; I really should have saw that there was something wrong. I just loved him so much so I never suspected he would do something like that. My mom asks us about the bar last night and both of us don't really know what to say. Dean lies for us and says he drank too much and I offered to drive him to his car. It wouldn't be a good idea if we told her that I made out with some stranger and caused a bar fight.

I go upstairs and get shower after finishing breakfast. What did I have to go today? Mom wanted me to pick up some yarn, I wanted to sign Jonah up for preschool, and get my hair done. I stay in the shower until the water gets cold then get dressed. My flannel shirt and favorite pair of jeans is what I decide to wear. As I wrap up I hear a knock at my door. It was funny how fast I ran to my bed and stuff the picture of Dean and me under my pillow. He opens the door and gives me a puzzled look as I try to act casual. My son comes in to give me a quick kiss.
