No POV

After the night of the engagement, Jack and Hiccup hardly ever saw each other. Jack had meetings, almost  all day every day, the company was having lower rates than the past month and people started quitting, leaving Jack needing more workers. Hiccup on the other hand, his businesses started growing more and more, tons of phone calls, meetings, secretaries getting things wrong the way they do, more money managements. Eventually he got a phone call from important investors, telling him that they have grate news and that he needs to fly over to New York City. Hiccup agreed and wanted to celebrate with Jack, but he was too busy for him right now. Hiccup woke up early in the morning to catch his plane that was leaving in 2 hours. Jack wasn't home so he wrote him a note before he left.

Dear Jack:
I know you're busy with your work so I didn't want to interupt you with anything. I got a call from my investors in New York which is where I'm going right now I won't be back until a few days I couldn't tell you because you weren't home this whole week. Well I'm leaving now. I'll see you soon :)

With tears in his eyes, he put the pen down and left tge note on Jacks unused pillow. Hiccup took his luggage and walked out the door, locking it behind him.

Just as he was about to get on the cab that was gonna take him to the airport, Jack's car pulled over.

"Hey! I'm so sorry I was in a meeting." Said Jack getting off his car.

"How weird." Said Hiccup opening the back door.

Hiccup wasn't happy that Jack didn't even come home for sleep, but he knew there was something going on in Jack's behavior.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Said Jack.

"I don't have time for this, my plane leaves in 20 minutes." Said Hiccup.

"Where are you going?!" Said Jack getting alarmed.

"Oh since you were too busy to even let me speak to you, I would have told you that my investors from New York need me there and that's where I'm heading right now. But don't worry, I'm sure you won't even notice I'm gone since you're always in your office. Oh my! Look at the time, I should be going now bye."

Jack stood there in complete shock by how much of a jerk Hiccup was being.

Investors. New York. Bye.

Was all Jack heard from the Hiccups whole explanation.

"You could have called you know." Said Jack.

"Oh I did, but every time I called I heard  different excuses. 'Mr. Overland is in a meeting.' 'Mr. Overland is not available.' Mr. Overland is not taking calls at this hour.' Mr. Overland said he'll call you back later.' Thing you never did by the way. So I gave up on calling and decided to not call anymore since Mr. Overland was too busy."

"You could've went to my office." Said Jack trying to give Hiccups options.

"Oh I did that also, but I was kicked out by some of your bodyguards, because I didn't have an ID. Why don't you stop trying to be smart Jack. I tried calling you, calling your office, I left messages to your secretaries more than twice, to your phone, I tried going to your office, but no one would let me speak to you and by what I see, your secretaries didn't give you my message." Said Hiccup with an upset tone on his voice.

Jack was upset at himself for letting his work get in his way when he knew Hiccup is way more important to him.

"I'm so sorry Hiccup I-I don't even know how..."

"I'm late for my plane..." With tears in his eyes, Hiccup kissed his engagement ring, took it off, and handed it over to Jack. "When you're actually ready for this... give me a call."

For the next several days Jack and Hiccup continued doing their work. Jack woke up early in the morning to head to his office and make sure everything was okay. The company started to increase on workers, Jack had something less to take care of, but now he had to find a way to increase on sales as well, something an old friend of his could take care of. He just didn't know how he didn't think about her in the first place before he got himself into this mess.

Hiccup was doing great. His investors told him more people were interested in expanding his business through out the US and even Canada. Hiccup was so happy with how much his company had grown into such an empire, well not yet.

"Good evening Mr. Haddock."

And of course he turned out to be such a babe to the secretaries and even a few glances from men, thing Hiccup wasn't used to, but since Hiccup Haddock was such a nice man. He often threw a wink and a smile, things people went crazy over. He turned out to be another Christian Grey from that movie 50 shades of Grey. Only Hiccup is actually gay and is into romance. Anyway Hiccup was doing great and so was Jack.

And so the days passed, it was finally time for Hiccup to return to California. Oh yes! Hiccup and Jack moved to California after Jack was called for a business trip and so they decided to move from Houston to California.

It was a long flight. Hiccup was happy to be back in California, but then he remembered what he did to Jack.

"God what was I thinking!? I'm such an Idiot!" He said as he got off the plane.

Just as he got off the plane, his eyes cought the sight of what looked like white hair standing by the plane door. Hiccup smiled and took his luggage as he got off the plane. His smile quickly vanished when he saw the mad look on Jacks face, walking right towards him with a closed fist.

Hiccup wanted to turn away and hide, but it was in vain when Jack caught him by the waist and crashed their lips together. Hiccup was surprised at such an intense feeling, but he couldn't take it anymore and kissed back.

"Don't you ever think that for a minute you're not important to me you hear me Hiccul Haddock! Because you are you hear me?" Said Jack loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Loud and clear." Said Hiccup leaning in for another kiss.

When they both got home, they both knew what was on their mind, the bedroom wasn't hard to find.
