Tara stepped into the coffee shop. It felt kind of weird because she rarely ever came here unless she was working so today was odd. Once Isaac spotted her he quickly made his way over and took her hand.
"I'm glad you came" He smiled brightly . "We have a lot of catching up to do."
Tara just nodded as he led her back to the table he always sat at, near the window in the far right corner of the cafe. Isaac sat down and looked at Tara expectedly. She smiled and sat on the opposite side. He frowned and moved his chair closer to her side.
"So what have you been up to these past few years?" He asked once the waitress had taken their order.
"Well, I run this bakery and hopefully in a few months will own it....." Tara paused awkwardly realizing that not much had happened between the end of high school and present day.
"Nothing else? No going to the tropics or skydiving with family? No boyfriends?" Isaac questioned saying the last part quiet. He didn't want to loose his cool and go ballistic trying to figure out if she had a love interest other than him at the moment.
But his comment actually made Tara quite annoyed. "Well excuse me your majesty." She snapped sarcastically "Not everyone is as rich as you and can afford lavish and expensive vacations every month." If she hadn't already ordered her favourite pastry, she definitely would have been marching to the door by now. They had just met again and he's already trying question her life choices? Who gave him that authority.
"Sorry I was just trying to dig deeper." Isaac apologized making Tara feel instantly guilty. He paused for a moment .
"I really cared about you in high school Tara and I still do. I just want to know your safe. I also kind of really love hearing you talk" He chuckled nervously.
"I guess I over reacted. I'm sorry too." Tara said and they continued on with their conversation.

"Make yourself at home !" Isaac called out from the coat closet where he was hanging up both His and Tara's fall jackets. Tara would have if she knew where to. The place was huge! And well organized like something out of an IKEA catalogue. Tara found a place on the couch in what seemed like the living room and sat down. After a while Isaac came back wearing sweatpants and a t shirt.
"Sorry I took long I was just changing into something more comfortable." The outfit made Isaac look juvenile but at the same time somehow so sexy. You could see his muscles underneath his shirt but he also had his hair tussled to the side in the cutest way possible, as if he had been running his hands through it took for optimum perfection. He sat down next to Tara and smiled.
"What do you want to do?"
"I don't know it's your house!" Tara giggled. She was back to being comfortable with Isaac and even though they hadn't discussed the kiss yet, it still felt like they were back in high school. Isaac was silent for a moment, staring at their to hands near each other. He looked mesmerized, like the mixture of their ivory and ebony skin tones made him hypnotized him. He suddenly popped his head up again and declared.
"Let's play 20 questions!"
