The Final Secret

Jade's First Pov 

Jade woke up at the apartment and saw Ward sleeping next to her it was.. Awkward to her point of view of course but Coulson had him in bodyguard duty so she couldn't just say 'get out of the bed!' without raising suspicion so after showering and getting dressed she made breakfast for him and wrote a note "Went to the Verdant to see my sister Sara I'll be home soon. JL" but she didn't just go there to see Sara. 

Ward's First Pov 

When his body clock made him wake up he did his usual warm up forgetting where he was and only later realizing it, he was in the room where Oliver and Jade used to sleep in a picture of the Fallen warrior kissing the girl's cheek gave that away "Jade?" Complete Silence filled the room; when he went to the kitchen he saw the breakfast and her note he sighed and made himself wonder how her life was before Oliver died 'She must have been happy' he thought to himself and showered, got dressed after the dishes being cleaned and was on the way to the Verdant when he heard the order from Coulson 

-Ward, Hydra soldiers are on the way to the glades probably to have leverage on someone 

"I'm on my way" The hydra men wanted Laurel Jade's older sister 'man is anyone /not/ trying to reach this girl?' Ward thought again but once Laurel was safe he got surrounded by Hydra. That is until two masked ladies came in one in white suit the other in grey

White suited Woman: Get him out of here! I can handle them, now move! 

The Grey suited girl got me out of the place he got curious so he couldn't help speaking "Nice Mask.. Why'd help me?" She climbed the rooftop without saying a word to him 

Jade's Pov

'why I'd help you? You're my s.o for crying outloud!'Jade thought to herself as she looked at Ward, yes she was the girl in the grey suit and the white suited girl was Sara her sister all three of them were vigilantes together they were called "The Canaries" but Jade herself was called "The Elite Slayer"or "Grey Canary" and later since her SHIELD con was on she picked up the radio chat between Coulson and Ward

Coulson:Talk to me Agent Ward 

-Laurel Lance is safe but there's something else.. Two female vigilantes spared my life from Hydra men

Coulson: do the necessary to find out who they are and remember that this time they must be under our protection, they're not the enemy to us but they are to Hydra now 

-Understood 

'Dear God what have I done?' Jade Thought to herself when she reached the verdant to confirm he alibi to Ward,luckily both her and Sara had time to get changed and Jade could tell the situation before turning her con on again; when she saw ward was near both sisters began talking 

Ward's Pov

Jade and a blonde girl were talking when I arrived at the club when the brunette saw me she came to me 

-Hey Ward this is my sister Sara, Sara meet Ward

Sara:It's nice to meet you 

"Likewise" then he added "Jade we really should get going" 

-Ok.. Talk again Sara? 

Sara:You bet little sis

After they were at the apartment again waiting for the bus to come Jade began talking 

-Ward what's wrong? 

"Coulson send me to help your sister Laurel.. Hydra men were after her"

-Why? 

"I don't know maybe to get leverage over you,but then two masked vigilantes saved me from them"

She sounded surprised after he spoke then made a soft joke 

-Really? oh wow you can scratch that from the bucket list huh? 

"Jade I'm serious.. Do you have an idea of who they might be?"

-No why would I know that? 

Her voice was gently elevated which meant to him that she saw at least one of them without the mask but he kept that to himself "No idea" 

When Coulson said they'd spend one more day at starling he thought 'Now I get to the truth' 

Jade's Pov

After the night appeared she checked on Laurel in secret as the elite slayer while checking on the city but while she jumped through rooftops for the way back she fell on a trap a trap that ward set in motion she threw a sonar so slightly harm his hearing as he came closer but it was no good 

-Does it get any louder,pretty bird? 

Then he added 

-Why are you following Laurel Lance?

"I could ask the same thing of you,I guess some things never change once a guardian always a guardian"

-Who are you? 

"Once you know your life will never be the same"

-I can take it 

"Not this time.. Grant Ward''

He Came closer to the girl to low her hood and remove her mask.. The shock on his face was evident her secret was out 

-Jade? 

"I'll explain everything, just not in here"

After the sonar exploded she was gone 

Ward's Pov

'Jade's one of them.. Since when? How did she become that?' that was one of the many thoughts that went through Ward's head after he learned the truth he felt hurt surely but felt she had a reason for that secret; when he reached the apartment there she was still in her suit lowered hood and without the mask 

-Are you going to tell Coulson? 

"We'll see.. Now start talking" his face was as serious as his voice 

-When I found out Oliver was the Arrow I.. Felt like you did at first but then as he helped me with self defense classes and his fight lessons I saw that if I became.. That I could protect him so I took the chance 

She sighed 

-My sister Sara.. She is The white canary she was in the league of assasins before turning all around.. And Laurel is the black canary. I just kept it secret because.. 

"You were scared that if Coulson found out your sisters and your friends would be at risk" at her nod Ward spoke "It's honorable for you to honor Oliver like this but coulson would never put you or anyone you care for at risk" at an impulse he touched her cheek "Do you trust me?" 

Jade's Final Pov 

When she told Ward everything and at his touch on her cheek she felt a calm "Yeah.. I trust you" 

-Good

He offered a kind smile before gently removing the hand of her cheek 

"Good night" she placed her outfit on a bag and wore a pajama before laying on the bed thinking to herself 'You can't get emotionally involved with him it's dangerous' and with that on her head she fell asleep 

Ward's Final Pov

He felt that he could trust Jade again after all she shared, her reason was a plausible one on his thoughts as he remembered what he called her in that suit he chuckled 'Pretty Bird.. Not Bad Ward' he thought to himself and knew he cared for her just didn't know how much so and even unaware of that he mumbled to himself before going to sleep "Put it in a box"
