**Note: The end times events portrayed in this story are based off of those predicted in the Bible. They are not necessarily in the right order and may not correspond exactly with Biblical prophecy. For further study into the rapture, I would suggest going through a published study book on Revelation.

Kyle's POV

Kyle pulled into the garage of his newly bought house, feeling a sense of pride every time he saw the "sold" sign. As soon as he parked, he unfolded his abnormally tall body out of the car and stretched his sore muscles. He trudged inside, absentmindedly checking his Fantasy Football stats on his Droid.

He gasped in surprise when he tripped on something and nearly toppled over. "Kyle! What the deuce?!" Kyle's fiery 15-year-old step-daughter-to-be glared at him playfully and waved a poop scooper in his face. "You can't interfere with my community like that!" she declared and barreled up the stairs to her bedroom.

Kyle shook his head wearily. "Wow," he muttered in his usual monotone voice. He jumped as something vibrated in his pocket. He whipped out his phone and answered the call.

"Hello."

"Kyle! It's Randy."

"Oh, hey, dad. How are-"

"Your grandparents are missing, Kyle," Randy interrupted. "Doug called... Your mother is gone too. She was in the middle of fixing dinner when she just...vanished." There was a note of hysteria in his voice.

"Now, come on, dad. People don't just disappear." Kyle shook his head. His dad must have gone completely crazy. Kyle had always been an intelligent and factual person, and didn't appreciate when people jumped to silly conclusions.

"I never thought it would happen either, son," Randy sighed, clearly disappointed that Kyle hadn't believed him.

"What are you talking about?"

"Remember how crazy your aunt Ellen was about all that Bible stuff?"

Kyle paused. "Was?"

"Oh, shoot. Her and Dan are missing too. I forgot to tell ya. But like I was sayin about the Bible-"

"Now hold on, dad. Are you sure this isn't all just a big joke? Is the family pulling something on you?" Kyle questioned. He was getting impatient, eager to get back to his Fantasy Football.

"You really have no idea, do you? Turn on the news."

Kyle grumbled as he ambled over to his flatscreen TV and switched it on. He was greeted by an official-looking Asian woman giving an important report on the evening new station.

"...and plane crashes causing death and devastation around the globe," she announced solemnly. Images of car wrecks backing up traffic for miles and house fires springing up around the globe flashed behind the anchorwoman. "Wait... This just in..." the woman paused. "Oh, dear God... Are you positive?..." she faced the camera and addressed her viewers. "My fellow Americans, if you are still with us, please prepare yourselves for the following message. We have received early reports that a commercial airline has crashed into the White House..."
