Hi, um, whoever is reading this. This is a journal describing my life-- or rather, death and then what I guess you could call rebirth? I dunno. And hey, sorry if things get a little dramatic, that's just how I am.
My name is Teddy and I'm a vampire.
Well, let's start with how I became a vamp, I suppose. It was shortly after my twentieth birthday.
I woke up in a coffin.
I couldn't remember anything.
Imagine the terror, thinking you were buried alive? Yeah, nothing compared to opening it and being in a super-dark room.
And no, vampires don't always sleep in coffins, they just happened to have some because they run a mortuary.
So I woke up, screamed, and looked around to see coffins with opening lids and creepy people with glowing eyes staring at me.
They just... stared.
Until I got up and went over to one.
"Um, hi, excuse me, but where the hell am I, who are you, and why am I alive?"
The person--er, vampire-- in that particular coffin was Ollie. He was basically a tsundere with anger issues so he prolly wasn't a good choice to talk to first.
"Don't use such vile language, you fuckin' twerp."
I gaped and searched for words but he got up, towering over me at six foot four whereas I was but five foot six.
"You.. you are tall... and scary."
He stared, his shockingly blue eyes piercing my soul. He sighed and pushed me over to a mirror.
"What do you see, shortie?"
I pouted but looked at my reflection.
My hair was black.
My hair was black??
"Why is my hair black? Did you kidnap me and dye my hair?"
I then noticed my eyes. They were a much more intense green than before.
"What the fuck...? What is this?"
He rolled his eyes before handing me a piece of paper.
"It's easier to take in if you read it."
My eyes scanned the paper but I only really picked up on a few words.
Save me... turn me... vampire? Blood?? Mortuary???
I turned to Ollie.
"What is this? You can't be serious."
He opened his mouth and I thought he was going to yell at me but I saw that his teeth were sharper than a normal persons and his breath smelled like iron.
"Dude," I dug into my pocket and threw a small container at him. "Take a tic tac, dayum."
He glared at me and kicked the tic tacs across the floor.
"You need to take this seriously. If it weren't for Vic, you'd be dead right now."
I raised an eyebrow in question.
"Who's Vic?"
He smiled creepily.
"You'll meet her."
Backing up slightly, I asked his name.
"Huh? Me? I'm Ollie." He lost the creepy grin and instead was kinda smiling sincerely as he led me around to the other coffins.
"Maggie, my 'grandma'."
The older vampire woman smiled sweetly at me, saying, "Hello dearie," as she shook my hand.
"Charlie, my 'little bro'."
The small boy grinned and waved, his missing front 'fang' adorably obvious.
"Vic, who's sleeping."
Oh my jeezus. She's fuckin' hot...
I gasped and shook the thought out of my head, the blush dying down.
She had long, wavy orange hair, a galaxy of freckles, and curves like an hourglass. Her hair framed her face perfectly and her resting face was blissful and sweet.
"Oi." Ollie poked my side.
"Don't go crushin' on her, she's prolly straight."
I nodded but I was extremely disappointed.
"And finally, our old man Ned."
I gaped at the tall muscular middle-aged man who stood before me. He was even taller than Ollie and had a greying mustache and a receding hairline with more brown than grey. He stared down at me before belting out a deep, hearty laugh.
"Hahahaha! Don't let my appearance frighten ya, kiddo! I'm a big ol' teddy bear, unless someone hurts my family."
Teddy bear?
Teddy.
Teddy! That's my name!
"Teddy!"
They all stared at me.
"Uh, s-sorry, I think I just... remembered my name."
They all stared in amazement.
"Wow, good job kiddo! Most vampires don't remember until later."
I smiled at him and glanced back at Vic. She was still asleep. Sighing, I looked around at my new family and followed Ollie back to my coffin before totally conking out.Well, mysterious reader, that is all I have time for right now. I shall enter another memory soon, but please, tell me what you think of it, eh? Thanks, see ya soon! <3 o3o
