Okay. So, from now on, I'm writing as it happens, not from memories.
--
Crash.
I sat up, hitting my head on my coffin lid and cursing myself.
Quietly, I pushed the lid open and peeked over the edge. It was nearly midnight and it was all dark but I noticed that Vic's coffin was open and empty.
Shit, what has she done now?
I snuck a couple bags of blood into my jacket and hunted by her scent.
--
The full moon was illuminating the clearing and her scent trail ended, masked by a more... wolf-ish smell.
A branch cracked behind me and I spun but there was no one to be seen. Turning back towards the direction I had been heading, I saw a pair of eyes shining through a bush.
A dog?
"Hey, you lost, puppy?"
A large, silver wolf patted towards me and out of the shrubbery, growling, sharp fangs reflecting the moonlight.
"Oh shit."
I turned to run and it pounced on me. My eyes clenched shut in anticipation of the pain but I felt it licking me.
I rolled over and it was actually a wolf pup.
It was wagging it's tail as it licked my cheek and it barked.
"Aww, you're so sweet~"
I picked up a stick and threw it and he fetched it and brought it back. As I was was about to throw it, there was a low, guttural growl.
"... puppy?"
The puppy barked happily and scampered over to the actual large, scary wolf. It glared at me and picked the pup up by the scruff of it's neck and retreated into the forest.
It left bloody pawprints.
Vic?!
I jumped from tree to tree following the wolf and came to another clearing.
Vic was unconscious in a small pile of other unconscious people.
Well shit.
I jumped down from the branch, being what I thought was quiet but evidently wasn't because all the wolves turned to me as I landed.
... fuck.
They all glared and followed me with their eyes as I walked around the pack, trying to get to Vic. Once I got within an arm's reach, the alpha wolf jumped in front of me, snarling and gnashing it's teeth.
It jumped on me and I held it's face away with my hands gripping it's neck.
"Get off!"
I tried to push it off but it managed to get out of my grip. It would've bit my face off if it hadn't been called back by a man wearing a large fluffy coat with long white and beard.
"Stand down, Macbeth."
The wolf looked up at the man and got off of me, it's ears folding down and it sort of... bowed.
The man helped me up before beckoning to the body pile.
"Is one of these your loved one?"
I blushed and nodded. He nodded and whispered something to the wolves and I just stared at Vic's face. The sun was up now and her face was blissful and beautiful.
Why didn't you tell her how you feel?
"Take her. And you might want to take the others as well."
The wolves whined but let me zoom the bodies back to town. I went back to the clearing but their were a bunch of naked men.
"Oh god! What the fuck?!"
I covered my eyes and they all apologized, throwing what looked like wolf pelts on.
Wolf pelts?
The man who had the coat on was apologizing for the men and saying something under his breath about 'mangy dogs'.
"But again, I apologize. Werewolves don't know when to hunt, get clothes, y'know."
Um, what?
"E-excuse me, werewolves?"
He looked at me and nodded.
"I thought you'd know, being a vampire and all." He smiled and gave me a bottle of blood-colored syrup.
"This is the serum to wake up the people. Go, before their families get frantic."
I waved goodbye and went back to the people, administering the serum and dropping them back off in town before putting Vic in her coffin.
Just as she yawned, I jumped into my coffin and she awoke, wondering why she had dirt on her back.
Maybe she'd call me her hero...
Maybe you should leave her alone.
I laid in my coffin until Vic came to 'wake me up', saying it was breakfast time.
Well, at least she isn't mad.
She slapped me.
Well then... I guess maybe she needs some time.
