Drifting Away

The person who originally asked me to do this would like to stay anonymous. The second person, who PMed me just today, has not yet responded, so for now she will be anonymous as well.

So you and your boyfriend (or crush, in the second one's case) are drifting away, huh?

Well, my dear, here's my advice for you, in the form of steps. (As in, preform this in order)

1. Space. Give it some time, ladies. Everything will turn out alright in the end...as long as it was meant to be.
Sometimes you think it was meant to be, but it never really was. Trust me, I know the feeling. Sometimes it takes time to get over. But you will get over it. Because you're strong, beautiful, and deserve better.

2. Talk to him. Ask him if everything's alright. Maybe the problem isn't you...maybe there's something wrong with him.

3. Try to lead up to the subject of how you feel. Tell him that you're sad you're drifting away. Let him know that you want to talk to him. Let him know that you miss him.

4. If none of this stuff works, obviously he doesn't have any respect for you or your feelings. So, if the situation comes to this, give it a little more time...a little more space. Doing this will help make YOU feel better and less attached, and it will help HIM (or her) realize if they really miss you.

5. Try to talk to them again. If things really aren't working out...it's time for you to space yourself permanently. (Well not permanently, because things could work out in the end...you just might have to put an end to said relationship.)

Now, in the case of a crush...

1. Space, just like for boyfriends, for the exact same reasons.

2. Attempt to talk to him again. See if you laugh together. Text him, even. Rekindle a friendship. You have to do this yourself, my dears. The one you like won't do it for you. Be strong.

Hopefully the tips I've given you will help you drift a little closer...or simply fix your heart. I know it hurts to drift away, but you're not going to get anywhere without patience. If you're patient, everything will be so much better. And it will help calm you down.

I also hope, that during this process, you learn that you can be an independent lady, and kick some butt in the process.

WE DON'T NEED MEN!
WOMEN WILL RULE THE WORLD!

Okay, a little carried away there, but honestly, girls. Everything will be okay in the end...but you have to MAKE it okay. Nothing happens by itself. Do apples fall off the trees by themselves? No. Gravity assists them.

Do boys and girls just magically start dating? No. They have to help each other.

All you have to do is find courage. You can find it in friends, family, books, practically anything! It always helps to confide in someone (besides me. Try someone you know personally, it's easier).

I hope this helps, guys :)
