Brine's POV
(2 Weeks Later)Every night Reid and I went out for coffee. It was nice. Really nice. Better than what I was used to. It was nice and I all but Reid knew everything about me now. Well almost everything. I still had one secret that I hadn't told him. That I had never told anyone.
"Since when do we deal with rapists?" I asked with a shaky voice. My hands also weren't steady as I tried to keep my breakfast down, swallowing my coffee.
"They asked us too." JJ told me and then set down pictures. I felt sick. What kind of person could so this? I know I was always told that these people didn't think like us but, we do. If we didn't we couldn't catch them. I swallowed looking away, bitting the side of my thumb.
Reid then glanced over at me with a pen between his fingers, twisting a pen in his fingers. I only nodded while glancing at the file. Grimacing at the pictures again. Reid tried to look over at me, but I kept my eyes locked at the pictures. I didn't want to look at him, or any of them. I was with the best minds in the world. I was sure they knew something was wrong, but didn't say anything. They wanted to focus on the case, not the health of a colleege.
"Okay, wheels up in 30." Hotch said before sliding from the chair he was in. He left the room quickly along with everyone apart from Morgan. I still stared at the file without blinking. The words blurred and so did the pictures. They almost looked normal, then my eyes refocused and I felt sick.
"Hey Kid, you alright?" Morgan asked, I then blinked before looking up at him. Then I stood up and nodded. What was I supposed to say? These images made me sick. "Baby girl?" He asked me squeezing my shoulders. I leaned into him and nodded.
"Yeah- I'm fine." I said to him and pulled away from him. Morgan crossed his arms then, only glancing around us. I looked up to see Reid glancing up at us with his hands jammed in his pockets. He seemed like he felt like he was in an awkward situation. I then left the conference room. Making my way to my desk to find that I didn't put my bag there, I furrowed my back and sighed. Almost swearing.
"Here." Reid said to me, his hand around my wrist. I turned, then he placed my bag in my hand. "I grabbed it for you." He shrugged and I gave him a small smile. Then looked down at him, he still looked awkward between Morgan and I. I only looked at Reid though.
"Thanks." I spoke to him, slinging the bag to my shoulder. He smiled and motioned for me to follow him. "Hey, do you want to play chess on the plane?" I asked him and he turned to me like I was crazy. A smile then crossed his face like a kid who was opening a preset on Christmas morning.
"Are you sure?" He asked me as we walked from the office. "I always beat you." Reid continued, I rolled my eyes at him. Hopping into his car, him driving. I looked at him with wide eyes and nodding. Of course I was sure that I wanted to play. Reid was also the only one who had ever beat me.
"Just because I keep losing doesn't mean I don't want to play with you." I shot back to him as we drove, "Coffee?" I asked, Reid then sighed before turning for us to go get coffee. He seem tired and I knew he needed coffee.

"Your not going to beat me." Reid exclaimed to me as I stared at the board. "You've been trying for months and never once, I've only had Giddion beat me once." Reid said. I had heard stories about Jason Giddion. He seemed great from what I could tell, I had always wanted to meet him.
"Don't be-" I paused grabbing a piece. "So sure." A smirk on my face. Reid glanced at me but didn't seem to be sure what I was thinking. "Check mate." His eyes then widened. Slamming his hands on the table, looking frantically over the board. I felt relief flood my body.
"What's going on kids?" Morgan said sitting next to Reid, tossing an arm over his shoulders pulling him closer. Reid still looked astonished. Like a blind man seeing the sun.
"She-she beat me." Reid stammered out. Morgan then looked up at the board. "I can't- she beat me." He wouldn't stop saying it. My eyes widened and I stood up. I felt do much better.
"Guys." Morgan said. "Check this out." He waved over the team. Hotch, JJ, Emily and Rossi came over to looked at us. "She beat him." Everyone then seemed so shocked. There was no way that no one had ever beat him. Was it?
"Woah." JJ said to me. Then Emily patted me on the shoulder. "Nice job, I've only seen Reid lose once." She continued to me and I smiled. Reid still seemed like he was in shock.
"Sorry Doc." I said sipping my coffee, crossing my legs. He then seemed to notice that people were talking. That everyone was staring. "You owe me a coffee Spence." I smiled, then felt shock rush over my body when I realized that I had called him Spence. He the smiled too, looking up while pressing his lips.
"Fine, we'll get coffee when we get back." He smiled and it seemed like we were alone but then Morgan spoke.
"Looks like the geniuses are going on a date."
