Chapter 3

Alec's POV

Today, Scott is having us go to Beacon Hills Highschool. Faith isn't excited, people always forget about her because she's so quiet and awkward. I don't know how someone like her could be so... How am I going to put this? I'll just say it, lonely. She's really lonely. She doesn't hang out with anyone but me, Nat, and Star. Sometimes I worry about her, she's just really distant.

Anyway, we all got up, got showers and got dressed. And some how, we're dressed in really depressing colors. Literally all of us are wearing all black.

On our way to our new school, Nat asks, "Are you guys okay with this? I know you all aren't use to public school." The reason she's worried is because Faith and I were homeschooled. (Fun fact: I was homeschooled in prekay and part of kindergarten.)

Faith was bullied at our pack's school because her wolf was pure white with no markings, not even our pack's mark. Stupid thing to be bullied for, but you know, some people just always need a reason to put other people down. So mom took us out of school in 6th grade and tutored us herself.

I nod and Faith says, "Anxious, but yeah I'm good." I can tell she's worried more then she's letting on.

Time skip to when they are half way through the day.

The day has been normal for me up until lunch. Nat, Star, Scott, Liam, and I are eating, and then Nat jumps up, as if remembering something.

"Faith! Where's Faith?!" She practically screams. Stiles spit takes his milk, getting it all over Liam. Star laughs, but after getting flicked by Nat, stops. Nat,being Faith's best friend, is very protective of her.

"Star! This is serious, what if she's lost? You know how she isn't good in new places, she gets lost easil-"

"I'm right here." Faith says from behind us, sounding very irritated. We turn around and she's soaked. From her sopping brown hair, to her leaking red converse. "What happened?!" Liam and Nat say at the same time. They look at each other for a second, but then look back at Faith concerned.

I get up and give her my jacket. She shivers, and then answers, "That Hayden girl. I don't know what I did to her, but she absolutely hates me. I was going out of the bathroom, opened the door, and a bucket of water came falling down on my head. She stood there just laughing at me, so I punched her in the nose and broke it." We all just stare at her. Faith might be a sweet heart on the outside, but she can cut a biscuit. (I cleaned that up nicely *wink wink*)

When we were little, I keep yanking her hair, and the last time I ever did it, she gave me a black eye, a busted lip, and a broken toe. Do not ask.

"Where is that bi-" Nat starts to say, but Faith gives her a look and she finishes with, "scuit. She is going down! I'll give her more then just a broken nose-"

"Nat, stop. I took care of it, but I should probably get ready to be called to the office because her little 'possey' came and started yelling at me. Now their all getting her nose fixed at the hospital." She says, sitting down beside Liam and Star. Liam looks like he could murder someone right now, anger raging in his eyes. I can smell something on him, is that... Love mixed with something else. I don't know.

If he so much as touches her I will cut off his arm and beat him with it.

Scott suggest that we all just go, and we agree. Liam said that he was going to go do something, and Faith just sat in my jacket and played with her hair. Nat was raging about how she was going to murder that Hayden girl, Star and I just talk.

But something tells me that Faith is thinking really hard about something and fighting the urge to just run away.

Faith's POV

We get back to the hotel, and I sit in the bathroom, sulking. I don't know what I ever did that Hayden girl. I just showed up. Maybe that's what's wrong.

That I'm me.

I look in the mirror, tears in my eyes, soaking wet hair. I can't let that girl get to me. I can't. I have to make it here. There's nowhere else to go.

Plus there's Liam.

Liam gives me butterflies when he's around, and he's around all the time. He's in all my classes, in my pack, and I just like being around him. But he has something with that Hayden girl. I'm not sure if their like a "thing" or if she's just into him, or what.

I'm in the bathroom for a while, trying not to get to misty eyed, and by the time I come out, its dark. Alec, Star, and Nat all just stare at me.

"I think I'm going to go on a walk. I need some more time to think." I say, grabbing my not wet sweater. Alec stands up and whispers to me, "I don't think you should be alo-"

There's a knock at the door.

Alec opens the door and its Liam. My stomach summersaults inside me. For some reason, I feel a tiny bit better.

"I won't be alone, Liam will come with me." I say, Liam looks confused, but then follows my lead. "Oh yeah, I will. Ready?" He says, holding out his arm. I take it, and then we're off.

We get down to the side walk and I say, "Thanks for that, Alec is a bit over protective."

"Its fine. And he has a right to be, I would be too." He says, and then there's a silence between us. Not an awkward one, but a comfortable one. "So, why'd you come?" I ask, it was kinda of weird he showed up at the perfect time. Not that I'm complaining.

"I just came to apologize for Hayden. She usually isn't that bad." He replies, stepping closer to me. "It isn't your fault, but its fine. I'm use to it. Besides, I can take care of myself."

"Yeah you did good, I saw Hayden and her nose is permanently messed up. I mean, I haven't seen anyone stand up to her like that." Liam says, his hand inches around mine and I become infatuated with him. I completely and and utterly fell for him.

I turn towards him, not taking my hand out of his and then we slowly lean towards each other. And then, our lips connect.

Fireworks burst in my heart, and our lips move together like clockwork.

We stand there for what seems like seconds, but then we hear a scream of frustration.

We jump apart and look at where the noise came from. Its Hayden.

"That's my boyfriend, you freak!" She screams at me. She runs up and pushes me into a tree and holds me there by my collar. "Hayden get off her!" Liam yells at her. She doesn't listen.

"You may have messed up my nose, but I will make your life a living hell. Now leave before I do it now. And if you even so much as look at him, that's it. Plus, let's face it, he'd never love a girl like you."

I have no idea how to react, except to just stare back. She's such a biscuit.

She shoves me into the tree again. And then takes Liam's hand and drags him to her truck. Liam stares at me when they drive off, and I stand there, dumbfounded.

Did he just use me? Did he really just do that?

Inside I'm hurt, but on the outside, I punch the tree as it starts raining. I'm now soaked again, and now muddy from sitting in front of the tree. I sit there on my knees finally letting the tears I've held all week come flowing out.

By the time my friends come out to find me, I'm to far gone.

1367 words! Y'all this is a milestone, and I hope you liked it. I really don't like Hayden. She's a biscuit.

Anyway, what's gonna happen next? Will Fiam become a thing? Will Alec have to cut off Liam's arm and beat the crap out of him? Who knows!
