****This is Sean's P.O.V.****
I watched Ari stop breathing, lying on the lounge's floor. "Ari." I whimpered. Tears escaped and fell down onto her cold cheeks. "No. No, what happened?" I cried softly. Footsteps echoed through the hallway. People would be waking up now after Ari screamed bloody murder.
"What's going on?!" Jasper, our leader, yelled out to me. I couldn't find my voice, couldn't find reality. This isn't happening. I thought. This is just a nightmare, something that my brain is seeing that isn't real. "Answer me now!" Jasper yelled louder. I dropped down into a lying position, facing away from Ari. If this was real I wouldn't be able to see this.
"I don't know." I whispered. "She's dead." The reality hit hard. I admitted up to this, now I have to face this. But how could I face this when the girl I loved wasn't here? But who was the one dead. Dalla, Chris, and Jennifer ran to Ari's side.
Dalla started to cry, Jennifer was holding Ari's head to try to make her brain power on again, and Chris was mumbling to himself. "I can't see her spirit. You sure she is even dead?" Chris asked me. So he must have been calling out to he soul.
A new heartbeat echoed in the room. Or in my ears, since vampires could hear heartbeats. "I am not dead you fool." Ari's voice spoke. Gasping I looked over to Ari, sitting up I saw her staring at everyone. She didn't look right. Her hair more darker, longer. Her eyes filled with black and something else, and her heartbeat was off. Signs that pointed out evil and not good in people. I felt my eyes go round and my own non- beating heart ache.
What happened that I didn't know of? Why was she running, scared? Why did she scream when I found her lying on the floor. "Ari?" I asked, my voice filled with concern. Ari didn't answer me, didn't even glance at me. It was like I didn't exist to her. "Ari? What happened?" I asked her. Still she didn't see me or notice me.
Ari got up and stood facing Jasper. "Jasper McCain. Leader of Sky Academy, Protector of Children, you have failed. You have lost your weapon, now we will win." A voice which was not Ari's spoke. It sounded thick and dark, rough and death like. Ari's eyes turned back to their normal blue and she collapsed to the ground. But instead of hitting the carpet she fell into a black hole.
"Ari!" I yelled and tried to go after her. But someone grabbed my hand, stopping me from going after her and into the black hole. "No!" The black hole closed as quickly as it came. "No." My voice came out more soft and unhearable to most ears. Looking at the person who was grabbing my arms to keep me from falling I punched the person.
Jasper, the camp leader took the blow and didn't even flinch. "Sean, you have to listen. That wasn't Ari, that was something else. Ari is gone now, lost in the world. Come with me and we wll talk about this in my office." Jasper spoke softly. "Same with you guys." He said looking at Ari's friends. They all nodded and started to walk off into the hallway.
The other students that lived here with us backed up and made a pathway for us to walk through. Shaking I looked back at where Ari's body layed and fell, then walked with them, my head hanging.
-----------
Everyone was sitting in chairs in Jasper's office. Other academy leaders was sitting with us to, all of us was looking gloomy. "What was that?" Dalla asked. She was the first to speak out of everyone. "No regular person just screams at dawn then... then turns evil." Jasper nodded and looked at her in the eye.
"This will take all day long to explain, but I think you guys deserve to know the truth. I will allow you guys to skip class this once." Jasper spoke then looked at everyone, especially the other academy leaders.
Leaning back into his chair Jasper looked at Elwin, the Head Master. "Ah, it is likly you would ask me to do the honors of telling these young people the story." Elwin said in his old grandpa voice. He kind of reminded me of Dumbledor off of Harry Potter. "About two hundred years ago I and five others build this academy. There was Demitri, Victor, William, Aerobeth, and Sky. All of which who was werewolves. We all thought that we could build an academy for those who wish to seek out who they truley are. At the time supernaturals were beggining to pop up everywhere, and more came. There were a lot who didn't know what was happening to them and was scared.
"But in the middle of building this Academy we had someone who didn't want this to happen. They casted a spell over five of us and let one leave unharmed in the spell. You see, the spell was to turn us dark and murderous. Their glowing light of good vanished into darkness. The first to go was Sky. She was consumed by this light like everyone else. At the beginning it looked good but that was just a trick. It is evil masked in a mask.
"But when everyone else was consumed and I was the only one left, the evil haven't came to me. As if to torture me and to show that I was worthless against it alone. So I finished the academy, and hired people who I knew that would protect this place of evil. Jasper was the first who I hired. I told him everything that has happened and made him the Protector of the Children. Children who was threatened by the evil. Luckily Jasper saved them. All but one. I assume you know who.
"After though, the academy settled down and no evil was present. That was up until now. I and we have no idea why they have kidnapped Ari's soul and body. It is vital that you should know somethign else though. Ari is a weapon. She is born to be the strongest and most lethal werewolf of history. One to use to defeat the enemy. Although the enemy depends on what she is and on her inner light. A light that was now stolen and eaten up by the darkness."
Everyone just stared at our Head Master. His story had me about to puke. So I was right, Ari was evil. And she isn't here for me to turn evil with. "Has anyone have an idea or a clue on what truley transpired this morning?" One of the leaders asked. She had blond hair and grey eyes, a witch I am assuming.
Shudduring I looked at Elwin. "Yes. There is this poem a warlock told us. Then a lot of werewolves said she would most likly turn evil because of her seventeenth birthday date." I spoke up leaving out the part where I said that I would turn myself over to the dark side for her if she does turn evil. If I told Elwin that he would banish me from the academy and I wouldn't know anything about Ari and what to do to save her.
Elwin nodded and looked over to Jennifer. "I assume you can locate Ari's brain pattern and soul length right now, am I right?" He asked her. Jennifer nodded to make him right. "Can you tell me where she is? Or do you want a map?" He askeed again then looked at Dalla. "I need you to help Jennifer. A witch and a fairies magic that is combined is the most powerful." He told Dalla.
Dalla nodded not trusting her voice. "I will take a map. But I can feel her soul length and brain pattern. It is close but not too close." She said and closed her eyes, her eye brows making a straight line. "But yet, it is getting more dull as time goes by, the person who took her must know we can do this."
Jasper bolt out of the office and came back with candles, lighters, and two maps. "Hurry. We can't lost her. The world will be dead if we let them have her." He said and layed the supplies on the floor. Dalla and Jennifer sat side by side on the ground and started to mumble words. The candles flicked on without the lighters and glowed brightly.
A couple minutes went by and Jennifer started to say the words more clear and louder. With a small thump the fire from the candles forced it's way onto the two maps and made a little trail of fire. The smell of burnt paper wafted up my nose and made me frown. It burnt but if this is what I had to do to find Ari I would.
Finally the fire went out and on the two maps showed us where Ari was. "We found her." Chris whispered. I smiled but when I looked at where she was it disappeared. She was in the Dark Forest that was a little ways away from here. A place where no one went and where no one came out alive or untouched by evil. "Fuck." Chris swore.
The trail ended in the middle, where it was the most dangerous. "So, our enemy was only miles away from us without us knowing. After all these years, why hadn't they torn this place down when they could have in less then ten hours in the night?" Elwin spoke, his voice full of confusion.
"I guess because they were waiting until this day when Ari showed up. When they would have a weapon to kill us with much more faster." Jasper whispered. "We need to save her." That was the understatment of the year.
