I've lost count of how many times I've asked, more like demanded, and they've denied me the information about my family and it has been a week. And I still don't know how long I've been out of it. "Will you pleaasseee just tell me!?" I asked bored from just lying there all day.
"You already know the answer to that, Carter." Nurse Kelly says, not even giving me the joy of seeing her face from that book. I feel bad for her, partly, she has to be the one to deal with me and my many escape attempts.
"You're not even going to even grace me with seeing the happiness in your eyes when you say that? Guess somethings do changes." she finally looks up from her book, pins me with a glare but I'm used to it by now that I just don't care anymore, and asks, " What do you want? What will shut you up?"
"Well, my phone, earbuds, Wi-Fi, and a trip to the mall with some money."
"Why to the last one?" Kelly asks with curiosity.
"So I can get some more acceptable clothes and be more comfortable. Eat real food." I say in a duh-voice as I look down at my ugly hospital gown, "And don't tell me I can't go out yet, I know I'm cleared to leave, I overheard you guys talking about it. What I don't get is why you still want me here, since I'm such a pain to you all."
"Fine. I'll see if I can arrange for you to have a trip tomorrow, okay? Happy?"
"Very," I say cheerfully, but then realize something and ask, "Do you have some sweats that I could use while I get new clothes?"
"Fine, whatever, I'll get them, just be ready for tomorrow," with that she left.
I was almost asleep when the door opened and I think it was her leaving the sweats but I was too comfortable to move and check who.
