I walked to my car and quickly got in. I rubbed my hands together hearing her words in my head. "Your hands are so cold..." She needs to understand that things like that are going to be happening. I'm sick okay! It's going to be like this for now on! I quickly put my car into drive and pulled out of the school parking lot and drove home. Once I got there I pulled into the driveway and unlocked my door. "Front door open." The alarm system said. All of a sudden my phone began to ring. I pulled it out of my pocket and rolled my eyes. It was my mom. "Hello." Her voice sounded concerned and worried. "Ezra! Why did you leave school? You passed me on the main road is everything okay? Do you need anything sweetie?" I took a deep breath and sat on the couch. "Everything is fine mom. I'm just tired and I didn't get much sleep last night. Look I have taken all my tests and everything so I'm not missing much I promise." I heard her sigh in relief. "Okay sweetie. I just wanted to make sure. Listen I'm going to be a little later getting home tonight. A couple of people are out sick and I'm covering for them. There is left over pasta in the fridge okay?" She said quickly. "Thanks mom." I said. "Well gets some rest sweetie I love you." I smiled when I heard her words. "I love you too." The called ended. I laid back on the couch and closed my eyes before I knew it I drifted off to sleep.
