Chapter 2

It was already after 8 at night and Mia was still sleeping in Carmen's bed. Carmen didn't mind, she was used to Mia's company at her house. Mia practically lived there. Today Carmen had a hard time with her being there, she feared that if this continued she would do something that both she and Mia would both regret. She decided to get off the couch and wake Mia.

"Mia, wake up it's after 8 and your parents are going to kill you if you don't go home. " Carmen said shaking Mia's sleeping body.

"Mmmm!! Don't worry about it, I already told my parent...just let me stay like this." Mia grumbled sofltly as she pulled the covers over her.

"Will you at least take a shower !" Carmen exclaimed out of nervousness.
Mia got up and glared at Carmen.
Mia's glare turned into a mischievous grin.
"Why Carmen, do I smell ?" Mia threw herself on top of Carmen and started wrestling her.

"Get off of me !". Carmen screamed in laughter .
Mia got off of Carmen and started stripping.

"Wha.. What are you doing ?! " Carmen squealed and covered her face to hide the blush that formed.

Mia started laughing at Carmen's reaction.

"Chillax! I'm just taking off my shirt, so that I can shower genius! "

"Do that in the bathroom!!"

Carmen threw a pillow blindly at Mia still covering her face. Mia laughed even harder and headed to the bathroom.
After a few minutes , Carmen calmed down. She then started thinking to herself. She then panicked when she realised that there is no spare towels or clothing in the bath. She then cursed to herself. She brought the towel and clothing to the bathroom.
She was nervous and contemplated to go inside. She knocked on the door .

"Umm, I'm going inside , I forgot to give you a towel and some spare clothes to change into
.. Sorry. ". Carmen felt ashamed, ashamed that she likes her bestfriend and would be breaking a boundary in a way .
"It's fine , you can come in."

Carmen opened the door with shaky hands and walked inside. Mia was just standing in the bath staring at Carmen. Carmen tried to keep her eyes off of Mia. She placed the stuff on the counter sink. Her heart was threatening to burst out of her chest.
Suddenly Mia stepped out from the bath and headed her way to Carmen. Carmen made the mistake of looking at her. She froze when she saw Mia's naked body , luckily, Mia was covering her main areas.

Mia payed no mind to Carmen's gawking and just grabbed the towel and started drying off. Carmen then hurried out the bathroom. Carmen's face was beat red. she never saw Mia that exposed before, not even in a bikini. Her body was toned, she had curves in all the right places, and her skin appeared soft. Carmen pondered and fell asleep very fast.

I was currently sitting in front of Mia in Physics. After what happened yesterday, it was awkward only for me. Mia of course not knowing my dirty secret, she acted normal , as if seeing your best friend's body almost completely naked is a normal everyday thing. Mia talked to me, I of course still talked back to her but didn't dare look straightly at her face. To not raise any suspicion, I made it look like I was looking at her by staring at the wall in back of her.
I recalled my suprise from my mom and decided to break the news to Mia.

"I'm moving. "
Mia stopped her conversation. Her jaw dropped and started laughing. I was confused but decided to wait for any further reactions.

"That's a good one Carmen. "She laughed.

I continued staring at her with a serious blank look on my face. Mia got serious.

"Your kidding right? "Mia's voice rose, but then got quieter when everybody looked in our direction.
I shook my head to her response. I was seriously on the verge of crying but I stayed strong and put up a front. She then got up from her seat and told the guy sitting next to me to switch. Mia sat really close to me so our conversation was more private.

Mia's expression was so sad. Her eyes were watery and her brows were furrowed in sadness and confusion.
As a tear dropped from Mia's eye, I was quick to wipe it away.

"Why so suddenly, Valentine's Day isn't even here yet. " she silently choked.

"I'll explain later ok, don't cry... I hate seeing you cry ." I whispered.

I pulled her in for a hug, and she silently cried on my shoulder. I ignored peoples stares and held her for the remainding 2 minutes of class.
