Layed in bed wearing atleast 5 layers of clothing and a duvet on top of me, I still feel freezing cold, Mum thinks I'm coming down with something. You know like when you have the flu and you have hot and cold flushes? Well it's like that, only something just doesn't feel right. I feel like someones watching me, as if something or someone else is in my bedroom with me. As I lay in my bed actually freezing I began too feel scared, like my heart's going to pound out of my chest. It's getting worse, make it stop! I have a ringing in my ear that's getting more and more intense, hearts pounding more and more. Everythings going black, why can't I see anything?! Stop!
Brooke:"DWAIN, QUICKLY LUCYS UNCONCIOUS!"
Dwain:"WHAT'S HAPPENED?!"
Brooke:"I don't know I was downstairs and heard a humongous bang! Where were you? You were ment to be upstairs checking on her, Why weren't you here!?"
Dwain:"I was meditating, and I know exactly what your going to say so don't bother!"
Brooke:"Well that's bloody nice isn't it, meditating whilst your daughters collapsing in the next room! Just get out!"
Blake:"JUST STOP IT, LUCY NEEDS HELP JUST STOP ARGUING!"
Dwain:"He's right, Blake get your coat on where going to the hospital"
Brooke:"NO we can't move her, she's obviously fell heavily so we can't move her incase somethings broken"
Dwain quickly dialed 999 on his Mobile Phone hoping that an ambulance would be sent straight away. "How long has Lucy been unconcious for Mr.Carter?" asked the woman on the other end of the phone sounding quite concerned which didn't help Dwains nerves. "Only a few minutes, honestly, no longer" replied Dwain who by this point was really starting to panic for his daughters well being. An ambulance was sent and had arrived in a matter of minutes, as Lucy was still unconcious. Running through the door and up the 14 stairs, two paramedics came to Lucys help and slowly propped her up whilst giving her some oxygen trying to help her to become concious again. Luckily the technique worked and Lucy began to come round. The paramedic looked extremely relieved and asked "Can you hear me Lucy?", in which she replied with "Yreah". Looking rather confused, Brooke asked why she didn't seem to be speaking clearly. "It's just because she is coming round to being concious again Miss.Carter, nothing too worry about" replied the female paramedic with a smile on her face. Confirming nothing was sore or had hurt her during her fall, Lucy was still taken to hospital too get checked over and to find out what had caused the collapse.
I hate hospitals, I don't know why I just get a horrible feeling when I'm there, it's the smell I think, the smell that all hospitals have. I could sense something was wrong as my Mum and Dad were sat at the opposite side of the room to eachother, in complete silence. Which in all fairness, wasn't helping me recover at all. I didn't have the cold or hot flushes anymore, or the pounding in my heart, I was just nervous as I was getting tested for having a minor heart attack or an epileptic fit. Epilepsy runs in my family as my Grandad suffers with it, he had his first fit when he was working away in Scotland and my Dad had to fly out to Edinburgh too make sure he was okay. This means I had a high chance of suffering with Epilepsy which obviously made me feel like a nervous wreck. I spotted a nurse coming towards my cubicle which made me feel very claustraphobic, just an uncomfortable bed in a small square room with two chairs isn't very spacious nor comforting. Straight away, Mum and Dad suddenly stood up to greet the nurse, I've never understood why adults do that. "All of Lucys test results have came back fine, no minor heart attack and no epilepsy. We'll refer her to a cardiologist to see if they can spot a problem eventhough her ECG tests have came back normal, a little bit fast but nothing in a danger zone. You'll get a letter through the post confirming your appointment, you can either stay here for a 24 hour observation or just go home, rest and we'll keep a bed spare just incase you feel uneasy again in the next 12 hours"
I decided to go home, I couldn't stay overnight in somewhere that makes me feel even worse than what I am. It's impossible to sleep in them places, the beds feel like your sleeping on a rock and it's so noisy on a night time with peoples machines bleeping and nurses coming in and out. I'd much rather be at home. Coming home to 23 missed calls on my mobile and 10 text messages I began to worry that something else was wrong. It was Kyle, he must have been worrying like crazy! My Dad had text him whilst I was in hospital explaining what had happened, he probably felt a lot worse than what I did! I better phone him and calm him down telling him that I'm fine so can stop worrying. Walking out of my bedroom too make my phone call, my Dad approached me with a long white feather which strangely had 5 brown beads hanging from it. Beginning to wave it around me and start chanting in words that I couldn't understand I asked him what he was doing, It was actually quite freaky. "You've been possessed Lucy, I've read about it on the internet and it's exactly what happened too you, I'm helping you, trust me." feeling really confused as to why he was saying these ridiculous things I shouted my Mum which probably wasn't the best idea.
Brooke:"What the hell are you playing at, what's that your waving at her?!"
Dwain:"Just listen too me, she's been possessed by evil demons and that's why these collapses are happening too her"
Brooke:"For fuck sake Dwain, we're all worried sick considering she's going to see a cardiologist and your stood there waving fucking feathers at her saying she's possessed! Just get out of this house, I'm sick too death!!"
Blake:"Don't say that Mum, don't go Dad, please!"
Dwain:"Here we go again, you never listen, I'm trying too help. Fuck it, I'm going too stay at a close relatives, it's better than staying in a house where no one supports anything you do!"
At this point I'd stopped listening, Dad got his clothes in bin bags and slammed the door on his way out. As scary as it was being approached like that, he really did believe that I had been possessed. I don't know what's scarier, the way he was determind or how I'm actually starting to question it. I can't even believe I'm even thinking about it, it's just ridiculous! No wonder I collapsed, living in a house like this, it's almost unbearable. Maybe I should have stayed in hospital, I'm not going to get much rest here.
