Chapter 49

CHAPTER 49

*Adeline's POV*

Darleen and the group piled in the car and left. Darleen made me feel better about what those girls said. I couldn't help but feel as if she noticed my bruises. Thank God she didn't ask I really didn't wanna tell her. I barely even know her. I walked home, I didn't live that far only about 2-3 blocks away.

"Where the hell were you!!!" My dad slurred. He was obviously drunk

"Just went for a walk" I tried to say as calmly as possible. If he sensed me a bit scared or jumpy he'd beat me.

"I never said you can go anywhere" he said grasping my arm tightly. I whimpered a bit. It hurt.

"Go make food, you're useless mother won't be home soon." He spat at me. He roughly pushed me to the kitchen. I make him dinner, served it to him and headed to my room. I didn't eat. I didn't mind he rarely let me eat. I locked myself in and sat on my bed. Welcome to hell. Population me.

*Darleen's POV*

"Ok so where are we going?" I asked Danielle. She blind folded me and put me in a car.

"Somewhere?" She said. I could almost feel her smirking.

"Where is everyone else?" I asked.

"Somewhere." She answered again. I groaned.

"Is it going to be a long ride?" I ask.

"An hour or so depending on traffic."

"Fine" I said under my breathe. She made me dress up in a flowing black high low chiffon skirt and a white spaghetti strap blouse with a brown belt on my waist. And some wedges and silver necklaces to top it off. I bet I'm gonna fall tonight. I did my usual makeup. My hair was in loose curls. I know its my birthday but I don't wear heels even then. After about 1 hour of my complaining and whining we finally made a complete stop.

"Are we here now?" I ask trying to annoy her till she she admits were we are.

"Yesss" She said with relief in her voice. I smirked to myself I did a good job of annoying her. She leads me into a building? I don't know.

"Can I take the blindfold off?" I ask for the 5th time in the hour.

"Not yet" She said stopping me. "Ok stay here don't move or peek"

"Okaaay" I said moving up and down with the tips of my feet. I felt awkward just standing there. Then I heard mutiple feet walking. Someone stood behind me with their hands on the blind fold.

"Dani can you take the blindfold off now?" I ask.

"I'm right behind you trying" She chuckled. She untied the blindfold off my eyes. I blinked a few times to adjust my vision. We were in the Staple Center? How the hell were we allowed in? Everyone from the girls to my family were standing in front of me. Everyone but the boys. I noticed I was standing in the same place as I did the day Niall sang to me at the concert. The first day we met. I looked up to the stage and sure enough the boys were there. They had mics set up and all. Then they began to sing 'Loved You First'. By now I smiling like an idiot.

As Niall's solo came on he reached down for my hand just like the day we met. Instead this time he jumped off stage and standing in front of me still holding my hand. He sang to me looking me straight in the eyes. The boys continued the rest off the song as Niall leaned in to kiss me. His lips brushed against mine. Then I brought my hand to his neck and locked our lips, his hands laid on my hips. I felt those familiar fireworks and bombs go off. It felt as if we were the only people here. Everyone else just gone. This kiss had so much passion and love. It wasn't a quick peck. It wasn't rough. It wasn't desperate. It was gently. This is all I ever asked for. All I could ever ask for. All I ever wanted. All I ever needed. To think months ago I thought there was no such thing as true love. I didn't trust anyone, didn't love anyone the way I loved Niall. This all felt like a dream. To good to be true. If it was a dream I didn't want it to end I wanted it to last Forever Always.
