Suspicions confirmed, James laughed to himself. Remus has a little crush on Pads.
It was sad that even James had figured this out, and Sirius hadn't. But that was normal for Sirius. He was usually slow with things like that.
So James decided he was gonna help his best mate figure it out. First, he owed Remus a few favors, since James cheated off of him on almost every test. Second, James liked playing Matchmaker. And third, James just wanted to see Sirius get all stupid-in-love with Remus.
Plus, James knew a little something that would help him a great deal. He had heard Sirius talking to himself on several occasions about Remus. And how much he liked him.
But James didn't want to go the easy route and just tell the two what the other one had said. Oh, no. This was going to require more planning than a prank on Severus Snape.
Oh and speaking of which, James reminded himself. We haven't pranked a Slytherin all week!
