I hate my hair, Remus Lupin thought to himself as he tried desperately to rid his blonde hair of tangles. Every morning, Remus woke up to a bedhead that took almost a half an hour to get rid of. And God forbid anyone see him like that. Especially Sirius.
Staring at his awful reflection in the glass window, Remus sighed. I will never be handsome.
He turned away with dismay and headed towards the door that led to the Gryffindor common room, placing his scarred fingers on the doorknob. Turning it slightly, Remus opened the door a crack and saw exactly what he wanted to see.
Sirius, lounging on the garnet- colored couch, hands behind his head.
Alone.
I wish I had the courage, Remus thought miserably. To go up to him, tell him how much I love him, how much I want him to be my Padfoot.
But all Remus could do was stare at the black haired boy on the couch.••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
After a few minutes, Remus felt a tap on his shoulder. He nearly jumped out of his skin, whirling around to face...
Peter Pettigrew.
"Oh, hi..." Remus spluttered, guiltily.
"Why are you staring at Sirius?" Peter asked.
Remus felt the blush creep up his cheeks. "At...at Sirius? No, no," Remus lied. "I was just making sure that...you know, no one was getting undressed in there..."
"And that took you...5 whole minutes?"
Remus sighed. "Peter... Can I tell you something?"
Peter nodded eagerly.
"I...have a crush on... Sirius..." Remus said. "Like, a huge huge crush."
"How interesting," James said. He had been standing on the other side of the door, listening.
"Oh, no, no, no!" Remus wailed. "I don't want everyone to know! James, please don't tell him!"
"Oh, I won't. I just wanna see how long it takes for him to figure it out himself," James snickered. "Most likely a very long time."
Remus sighed. I am so screwed. Sirius is going to find out. And he's gonna think I'm so weird.
