It was the morning and I woke up to find Emily next to my bed, already ready for school.
"Ali, get up!" she said, ripping the sheets off me.
I threw my pillow in her face, causing her to fall backwards onto the floor. I laughed to myself before getting up and entering the bathroom where I brushed my teeth, got showered, done my hair, put on some clothes and done my make up.
I wore my ripped blue jeans with a long white turtle neck long sleeve top and threw my hair up into a ponytail. I then put on my white converse and grabbed my bag for school.
We waited 5 minutes for the bus and it took us 5 minutes to get to school. We stopped outside the building for a quick 'fashion check' and then entered the building. Emily headed towards the cafeteria whilst I stopped off at the vending machine to buy a chocolate bar.
"Hey beautiful." said a familiar voice, grabbing me by the hand and turning me to face who I thought was Nate.
"What are you doing!" I shouted, jumping at the sight of Austin and loosening his grip on me.
"Loving you." grinned Austin pulling me back close and kissing me.
"Would you stop that?! I have a boyfriend!" I exclaimed, pulling away from him in disgust.
He followed me down the stairs and into the cafeteria where I grabbed a fruit salad to have for breakfast.
"You know you love me." whispered Austin from behind me. Breathing on my neck.
"Austin, listen to me. I have a boyfriend okay and there is no way that I'd cheat on him or go out with you." I said frustratedly, pushing him away from me.
"Sorry about him." said an unfamiliar voice.
I turned around to see a girl standing next to him.
"Hi, I'm Daniela and I see you've met my brother Austin." exclaimed Daniela, rolling her eyes.
"Unfortunately." I chuckled.
We both laughed.
"Come on! I'm right here! It was a pleasure meeting me and you know it was babe." said Austin, flicking his luscious hair out of his face.
"Babe?" Daniela and I questioned.
"Daniela, why don't you come hang out with me and my friend Emily at lunch." I offered.
"I'd love too, but what about him?" asked Daniela, pointing at him.
"He can come too." I replied smiling.
After we met, we headed to class. The lesson went surprisingly fast and before we knew it, it was already lunch and the lesson was over. We met up with each other and made our way down to the cafeteria where we grabbed our lunches and sat down at a table.
"Oh I forgot a fork, I'll be right back." I commented, rising from my seat.
As I was walking back with the my fork a boy walked straight into me with a plate full of macaroni cheese on it, causing me to fall over, the plate full of macaroni cheese landing on my top. Austin instantly got up and held a hand out to get me up.
"Hey watch where your going!" the boy shouted.
"No, you watch where your going. You knocked her over mate!" Austin shouted back, angrily.
"I've got her." said Nate signalling Austin to go.
"Austin, it's fine. Nate is here. My boyfriend." I said, smiling at Austin.
I walked out of the cafeteria with Nate, Daniela and Emily following me.
Leaving Austin in the cafeteria. I entered into the toilets where I grabbed out a black version of the same top out of my bag and put it on. I quickly fixed myself up and came out of the bathroom. I thanked them all and signaled that they could go. Nate left whilst Daniela and Emily walked with me back to the cafeteria. Everyone was staring.
"Alright people, you can get back to what your doing! Stop staring at her, she's fine." announced Austin, looking out for me.
"Thanks." I whispered.
"No problem." he whispered back, grinning.
After lunch we all made our way back for our last classes of the day. We had English with our teacher, Mr. Gates.
"Hello class, please get out your equipment and books. I have set an assignment for you all. You must create a project with whoever you want about something special to both of you. Something you share or love. You have 4 weeks to complete this task which will land you an automatic A if your presentation is up to standards. You may discuss amongst yourselves." exclaimed our English teacher, Mr. Gates.
"Wanna work together?" I asked Austin.
"Yeah sure cutie." he replied back.
"Ali do you-" asked Nate, interrupted by Austin.
"Sorry mate, she's working with me." said Austin, grinning.
"You don't mind if I work with him, do you?" I asked, worried about what his reaction might be.
"Nah, it's alright baby, I don't mind." replied Nate, holding back his anger.
An hour went by before Mr Gates said something we all wished he would of said earlier.
"Class dismissed!" shouted the teacher.
We all cheered.
"If you come over to mine in about an hour we can start the project there and exchange ideas for it." I commented, walking out of the school gates.
"Yeah sure." said Austin, grabbing his helmet and turning the engine of his motorcycle on.
"You wanna ride." asked Austin, smirking.
I rolled my eyes and replied, "No thanks. My bus is coming in 6 minutes anyway. I'll wait."
Austin rode off on his motorcycle and 6 minutes afterwards, my bus arrived. After the 5 minute ride from school on the bus, I walked the rest of the way to
my house where I was greeted by the smell of my mother's amazing cooking.
My mum was an ex- chef and she was awfully good at it. After she had me I guess she stopped but I wish she hadn't given up her dream.
"Wow mum! That's smells amazing! What's cooking?" I questioned, making my way to the kitchen where my mum was cooking.
"Chicken stir fry for dinner tonight with a cake for desert. Dinner will be ready in about 20 minutes." announced my mother, stirring the chicken and vegetables in the pan.
"Oh mum, a boy from my school is coming over to work on a school project tonight, is that alright?" I asked.
"Yeah Aaliyah. It's fine but I wish you would of told me before hand. Dad won't be joining us for dinner tonight, he gets back at 10:00 pm so it will just be you and me." exclaimed my mum, kissing me on the forehead.
I ran upstairs into my room and changed into my oversized adidas shirt and grey shorts. I grabbed my phone from my bed and began to text Austin.

"Aaliyah! Dinner is ready!" shouted my mum from downstairs.
"Coming!" I shouted back, making my way downstairs to see the table already set out.
Mum placed the plate of food on the table and poured some water into two cups. I grabbed my knife and fork and began to eat the amazing food my mum had placed before me.
"So, how was school darling?" asked mother.
"It was alright." I mumbled, putting another bit of food in my mouth.
"Who's this boy that's coming over Aaliyah?" questioned mum.
"Just a friend, our English teacher set us an assignment and we are partners so we are going to work on are project today." I replied, smiling.
"Desert?" said mum, rising out of her seat to get the cake and plates.
"Yes please!" I answer back.
