Goodnight Kisses

Chapter 6

School had ended for the day and I was already at home. I was picking out some clothes to wear for when my friends and I went out to the Frank's Ice Cream Parlor.
After minutes of tearing my closet apart, I finally agreed on some white ripped jeans and a cute black top with an adidas bomber jacket on top. I decided I'd wear some cute black pumps to go with the outfit.

I had a few minutes before I had to leave so I went down stairs to grab a quick snack then grabbed my bag and headed out the door.

Emily agreed to pick me up on the way there. Her house was 15 minutes away from mine.

After a 5 minute drive across town, we reached our destination meeting Daniela and Austin who were already at the ice cream parlour.

We all sat down in a booth waiting for the waiter to serve us. Daniela on the right hand side near the window, myself at the end of the booth. Emily on the left hand side, opposite Daniela and Austin opposite me.

Austin still seemed a little off. I wanted to say something but I knew that it wasn't the best thing to do after today.

"Hey girls." said 3 boys walking up to our table and checking Emily, Daniela and I out.
"How you doing sweet cheeks. I'm Brandon and you are?" grinned Brandon, kissing my hand.
"I'm Aaliyah and I am...taken." I replied with a fake smile.
"Lil momma's feisty, I like that in a girl." he said smoothly, totally ignoring that fact that 1. I have a boyfriend and 2. I obviously wasn't interested.

The boy's presence was making me feel uncomfortable. I got up from my seat and walked towards the toilet to get away from the boys surrounding the table.

He was staring at me.

"Damn that girl fine." he muttered to his friends.

I could hear everything he was saying.

I walked straight up to him with a comeback.

"Do you have a mute button? If so, where can I find it?" I replied with a 'I'm going to slap you silly if you don't shut your mouth right now' face.
"Right here babe." Brandon fired back, pointing at his smooth lips, trying to be smart.

Idiot.

He pulled me close and our noses touched. Our lips became closer and closer, I tried to push him away from me but his grip was too strong.

Our lips touched. He had me against the wall, kissing me passionately whilst I struggled to make him let go.

The kiss fortunately got interrupted by the sound of Austin's voice. His voice suddenly got deeper, filling  with rage.

"Hey! Leave her alone man. What's your problem?" shouted Austin, rising out of his seat angrily and walking up to troubled Brandon.
"Boyfriend right? You picked a keeper all right. She's hot. Madly hot. You can have her back after I'm finished with her." he smirked, beginning to return to our kiss.

Austin was as red as red could be. He was fuming. It was hard to tell whether he was going to break his face or beat that ass, Brandon, senseless. To be honest, I'd be fine with either of those two options.

Austin grabbed Brandon's wrist and punched him right in the face. The connection between Brandon's face and Austin's fist was hard, causing Brandon's nose to bleed uncontrollably. Brandon threw a punch back, hitting Austin in the mouth and causing it to bleed vigorously. A couple of punches and kicks where exchanged, the boy's both with bloody faces, cuts and bruises.

I tried to intercept but Daniela and Emily told me not to risk it. I sat by them, having to watch the fight sadly go on.

By the end of the fight, both boys left with cuts and bruises everywhere. I felt so sorry for Austin but curious as to why he decided to stand up for me after what he said to me today.

We all stood in shock, it took us a few seconds to realise that this was real.

"Austin!" I screamed running up to him, blood coming from his nose and mouth.

We managed, with all three of us helping out, to help him out of the ice cream shop. Daniela took Austin home whilst Emily and I went in her car and drove back.

When I got home I instantly climbed into bed. I was so overwhelmed by everything that happened today.

I whispered to myself as I turned of the lights.
