Natsu

"Hey, (Y/N)?" The pink haired salamander approached me.

"Oh hey Natsu, what's up?" Natsu didn't usually talk to me, I was a little intimidated by him. Also whenever I did talk to him all of the other guild members discouraged it. Something about how his stupidity would rub off on me?

"You wanna go on a job with me? The rest of Team Natsu is out." He beamed widely at me. A job? Alone with Natsu? This could be fun, secretly I liked Natsu a little.

"Sure Natsu, sounds fun! But why me?" Natsu's smile disappeared from his face. Surprisingly enough, his cheeks turned a slight pink.

"Well... You know... We don't really know each other very well and I wanted to get to know you better."

"Oh, okay. When's the job?" His smile returned.

"Now! Let's go!" Natsu grabbed my hand and began to pull me out of the guild.

A few minutes later we were on a carriage, headed towards the job location. I had heard rumors of the dragon slayers getting motion sickness but I didn't know it was this bad. Natsu was laid out on one of the seats, his face an unnatural blueish color. He looked like he was about to throw up.

"N-Natsu? Are you sure you're going to be okay?" I hesitantly tried to comfort him. He looked as if he wanted to respond but as soon as he opened his mouth a groan came out and he closed it again. "Uh, don't worry. Here, we can walk the rest of the way."

I had the carriage stop and stepped out, after calming down for a minute Natsu stepped out too. He was smiling when he stepped out.

"Ah, Thanks (Y/N)! No one on Team Natsu ever lets me walk anywhere, even when my motion sickness gets really bad."

"No problem Natsu, it'll just take longer this way. By the way, where's Happy?" Natsu's face looked annoyed.

"He went on a job with Wendy and Carla... He didn't care that I might need help with anything. That stupid cat!"

"Oh uh, well anytime the rest of Team Natsu is out i'll always be wiling to go on a job with you if i'm here."

"Really (Y/N)? Awesome!" We started walking, rather slowly might I add.

"Wow, this is gonna take forever to get there..." I said regretting the design to walk a little, but if it was for Natsu I don't mind that much.

"Hmm... I have an idea!" Now Natsu wasn't known for being the smartest wizard out there, so this could go a few different ways. "(Y/N), climb on my back!"

"Like for a piggy back ride?" I asked curiously.

"Yeah!" A little hesiant, I moved to the back of Natsu and jumped up on his back. He lifted me up and I tightly wrapped my legs around his waist. As soon as I was secured, he put his arms out behind him and screamed out. "Aw yeah, now i'm all fired up!"

Suddenly fire began shooting out of his hands and he began to run, the fire propelling him and adding extra speed.

"Aahhh!" I let out a little scream as he took off and clung to his neck so I wouldn't fall off. The wind blowing his soft pink hair into my face. It was a nice feeling, and it'd be a lie to say I wasn't enjoying it.

Natsu let out a low chuckle after my scream.

"Geez (Y/N). I'm not gonna drop you, just try not to choke me. We should get there a lot faster this way." I had to admit, Natsu actually had a good idea. After about an hour of running we got there, I have no clue how he was able to run that long especially carrying me.

"Wow Natsu, you've got a really good stamina."

"Haha, I know. I'm really strong too!"

"I wouldn't doubt that, your dragon slayer magic is awesome."

"You really think so? Now i'm all fired up!" The job turned out to be taking care of a giant bear infestation. It was really fun to watch Natsu in action, especially when he used his roar of the fire dragon. I helped take out half of them with my sound magic.

There was one left, and Natsu said we could take it out together.

"Okay! You ready?"

"Yeah!" Natsu cheered out. I started the attack.

"Noise blaster..." I grabbed his hand and began to use a move.

"Of the fire dragon!" He gripped my hand tightly as we preformed the combo move. A huge high pitched sound erupted towards the bear with fire swirling around it, I have to say it was awesome. The last giant bear laid on the ground passed out.

"Wow (Y/N)! That was so cool!" Natsu jumped up in the air excitedly. "We make a great team!"

"Yeah we do!" I agreed with him. After the attack was finished, I noticed Natsu was still gripping my hand tightly. "N-Natsu?" I questioned him, a red tint appearing on my face upon noticing.

"Yeah?" He seemed to be holding my hand like it was natural to him.

"You're still holding my hand... The attack is done." He looked down at our hands quickly, then back at me.

"Oh, sorry (Y/N)!" He grinned while his other hand scratched his head. I could see the colorful tint on his face too. "You're just so cute it feels nice to hold your hand for a little while." Did... Did he call me cute?

"O-oh. Well you can keep holding it if you want."

"Awesome!" He squeezed my hand for a moment and started dragging me back towards the guild hall.

When we finally got back to the guild, it was dark out, and we were still holding hands.  "I had fun today (Y/N), we should go on some more jobs."

"Yeah, I did too. I'd love to go on more jobs with you Natsu!" He smiled at me for a second, and then looked down at the ground. A blush returning to his face.

"Hey... (Y/N)?" Natsu trailed off for a moment. "I, um, I really like you... A lot." His dark eyes started intensely into my (E/C) ones. He placed one of his hands on my hair and brought his forehead to mine. His lips twitched up in a smile.

I didn't know what to say, and didn't respond at first. Before I had a chance to think of what to say though, he tilted my head forward and pressed his lips to mine. They were warm, and tasted like fire. I could just tell.

I kissed him back, pulling his head a little closer to mine. He brought our bodies closer together as we kissed. I could feel the texture of his tanned skin. Far too soon, the kiss ended.

"I-I like you too, Natsu." My face was red. He smiled at me, and stepped back.

"I'll see you tomorrow, okay (Y/N)?"

"Okay Natsu, see you then." I waved as he ran off towards the guild, and I headed towards my house.
