"D-Damn that Laxus!" I mumbled to myself. I've told him I hate thunder and lightning, yet he always makes a point to use his magic around me.

In the middle of the night too! He's doing this on purpose. Another loud crash came from outside and I ducked my head under my blanket.

I tried my best to sleep, but with all of the lightning striking I just couldn't. I gave up and moved to my window. Opening it, I decided I was gonna get Laxus to stop.

"L-Laxus! You know I hate when-" my sentence was interrupted by a loud flash. I quickly closed the window and slid my back down the wall.

I can't help that i'm afraid of thunder and lightning. It's not like it's my fault. I decided to make a run for my bed and dove into it.

The noises and flashed continued and I could feel tears beginning to prick my eyes. Crying out of fear, not my proudest moment.

I just shut my eyes tighter and pushed my face into the pillow. Then I heard a knock on my door.

I think there was a knock anyway, as soon as I thought I heard something, more thunder crashed down.

I decided to ignore it, and hide deeper in the matress. After a few minutes, I heard soft noises in my house. They sounded like footsteps, but I didn't know who it could be.

"(Y/N)? Are you home?" The voice sounder familiar, and I was going to answer until another thundering flash came.

I whimpered a little and tightly gripped the covers.

"(Y/N)!" I guess the person in my house heard me, because they shouted my name. Suddenly, my bedroom door was flung open. "Are you okay?"

Without warning, the blanket was gently lifted off of me. A worried looking Laxus stood there staring at me.

"La-Laxus? Why are you here?" I questioned him, struggling to brush away my tears.

"I was at the guild when I remembered you said you were scared of this stuff. It's storming pretty bad out there, and I came to check on you."

He sat down on the edge of my bed and pulled me into him. His chest was warm and sturdy as I pressed against it. I could feel his muscles through his shirt.

"T-That was really nice of you. Thank you." I smiled and gave him a small hug. Laxus and I had been good friends since childhood, the Raijunshu hate it.

You can't imagine how hard it was for me when he went through that whole "defy the guild" phase and got banished.

I was just glad to have him back.

"No, problem. Want me to stay here until it's over?"

"That would be nice. I have to say, heheh, I though it was you doing this at first." He looked at me like I was insane.

"Seriously? You think I would create a storm this bad just to scare you?" His voice slowed for a moment, and he almost inaudibly mumbled something else. "I would never do that to my little (Y/N)..."

Did he call me his little (Y/N)? I didn't know if I had heard him right or not, so I ignored it.

"Well, okay. I don't really think you'd do something like that now that I think about it." I sat up in my bed, and scooted to the side so Laxus would have more room. "We can sit here and talk until the storm ends."

"Okay." He agreed. Taking of his coat, he tossed it onto my floor and sat down. I guess he took of his shoes when he got here.

I examined his outfit, he said he came from the guild but... He was wearing sweats and an old t-shirt.

"Did you really come from the guild? Why were you there in the middle of the night?" I looked at him and he looked away, with a slight red dusting his face.

"Well, erm, no. I was at my house and the thunder woke me up. I thought of you and got worried." Upon hearing this news my face lit up.

"Aww, you didn't have to do that, Lax."

"Yeah I did, you were a complete mess when I got here." Okay he had a point.

"Well yeah, but it must have been a bother for you to run over here at midnight. You must be tired." After I said that I let out a yawn and a small laugh. "I am."

"It's no bother, but I am kinda tired." I didn't wanna deprive him of sleep.

"You can spend the night here if you want, you can sleep now."

"Really? Thanks (Y/N). Got a blanket I can put on the couch?" He started to stand, but I reached out my arm.

"Don't worry about it, you can just sleep in my bed. I'll feel safer with you here." Laxus looked shocked.

"(Y-Y/N)... Are you sure that's okay?"

"Don't worry Lax, it'll be fine. Okay?" He seemed to consider it for a moment, then hesitantly responded.

"Okay. If you're sure..." He repositioned himself so he was laying down. I did the same, and moved a little closer to him.

"Goodnight Laxus." I smiled at him.

"Goodnight (Y/N)." He smiled back, but looked a little troubled.

"Hey, is something wrong?" His eyes shifted to the side, and then back to mine.

"No, but can I tell you something?"

"Anything Lax."

"Um, (Y/N). I love you." Huh? How long had he felt like this..? His face went red and he looked down. "I knew you wouldn't feel the same."

I repositioned once again, so now he was holding me.

"I love you too Laxus." A cheerful smile and pink blush both were on my face. Laxus blushed too, and squeezed me tightly. Then, he planted a small kiss on my cheek.

So that's how I feel asleep, next to my Laxus with a smile on my face. The storm wasn't bothering me anymore.
