Chapter 13:Family Reunion

I called Austin, and said I needed to talk to someone. He asked why I didn't talk to josh, and sounded like he was jealous. So I told him that's what I want to talk about. He sounded WAY to excited when he said he'd be right over. About five minutes later he was here.

"So, what's wrong."
"Um, Josh and I broke up."
"REALLY! I-I-I mean aww I'm so sorry, what happened."
"He tried setting rules like he was my dad. He wanted to be EVERYWHERE with me, and he even wanted to put a tracker on my phone. I told him no and tried to leave, but he grabbed-" I stopped, remembering what happened like I was back there, "he grabbed my arm and told me no to argue and I need to listen to him. I yelled at him so he -he, uh-"
"What did he do?" Austin asked, sounding very concerned.
"He mmmm mmmm."
"What, sorry I couldn't hear you could you speak up." He said sarcastically.
"He slmmmm mmmmm."
"Sam," he scooted closer to me, "please, just tell me."
"He slapped me." I said as quickly and quietly as I could. Obviously not quiet enough.
"HE DID WHAT!!!!" He jumped up and screamed. He clenched his fist, which scared me, I've never seen him Like this.
"Listen is not that big a deal." I said pulling his arm so he sat back down.
He grabbed my shoulders making me face him."Sam, don't lie to me. You could barely say it, and anyone would be upset if their boyfriend did that."

He pulled me into a hug and we sat their for a while until someone knocked at the door. I went and opened it. Guess who it was.

Josh

"Wha-wha-what d-do you w-want?" I said backing away.

In a split second, Austin was behind me. He put his arm across my chest to push me backward and he started toward Josh. I grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back.

"Zack said not in publ-"
"Unless we have to. And I do."
"No you don't, your better than this."

He looked at the ground and let me go forward to Josh, but glared at him as I did so.

"What do you want?"
"I came back for you, but I see your busy."
"Ya, I am, so just leave. And even if Austin wasn't here, I'd never take you back."
"Well," he said stepping forward making me flinch backward, " if Austin weren't here, I'd force you." He said gritting his teeth.
"LEAVE HER ALONE." *Snap*

Oh crap
I looked back at Austin, he looked so angry. His fingers were sparking.

"Austin, I told you not to."

I quickly ran to Josh and tried to reboot him, but he fainted. Great now Trent,  Mark , and Josh know. We're screwed.
We put josh in his car and when he woke up, he looked confused. Then a look of pure terror crossed his face. He drove away.

"What just happened?"

Oh, ya, Alana's here.

"Sam, were you crying?"
"Um, ya, but I'm ok now."
"If you don't mind me asking, what happened."

I ended up telling her everything, excluding what happened that one day with Mark and Trent. I didn't tell them why I was so scared. I mean, cmon who wouldn't be. The three strongest guys in school are mad at me and they know Austin's biggest secret. Once Austin's not by my side. I'm dead.

"I wish I were out here to help."
"It's good you weren't, alt least they don't know you have powers because your starting school tomorrow."
"I am?"
"Yep."

Alana didn't seem very happy when we got to school. I tried to comfort her, but she was quiet all day. I noticed, Josh, Mark, and Trent were hanging out that day. All day. They looked at Austin with an expression that looked like they were trying to hide their fear. Then, they'd look at me. Sometimes it's a blank look, sometimes it's a 'your dead look'. I'm just glad I'm with Austin. It was the end of the day, Austin went home on the bus. Great. So, Alana and I went home. We got to the ice cream place, where we had to turn right at, and, luckily, Josh, Mark, and Trent weren't anywhere. Except, I kept feeling like we were being watched. I looked at Alana and I could tell she felt the same way. I looked around and saw it. A delta van. I looked around more. The kids were eating ice cream, but watching us. Alana saw them too.

"So, ready to go to the library?"
She caught on, "ya, but I'm scared I'll have to talk, since so many people go there."
"Ya, and Monday's are the busiest. There's mainly collage people."
"Ok, officially scared."

I started walking towed the library with Alana. I called my mom and told her where we were. I also asked if she could pick us up. We have a truck and jeep. We always take the truck places so I made something up. I asked her to dive the jeep so Alana could see. About ten minuets later, all the delta kids were in the library. Alana didn't notice, so I took her to look at a book.

"All the kids are here"
"Well, they can't do anything because there are too many witnesses of a kidnapping."
"Ya, well, they all of them have powers, don't they?" I said sarcastically
"Well, no one can erase memories except you. And me, and Austin are the only ones who can kill everyone at once."

I got a text, my mom was here, finally.

"My moms here, lets go. They all are looking at their phones, it's a good time."

We started out the door and saw my mom, with Zack and Austin? Huh, weird. Alana and I got in, my mom started speeding.

"What's going on?" I asked my mom, " why are you going so fast?!"
"Austin told me what's going on. He told me Brian, I mean Dr. Tremble and a bunch of kids were following you."
"Why did you tell her?!" I said Turing to Austin.
"Ask Zack." I turned to Zack for an explanation.
"Austin told me what he saw and I wanted to know more about it so I did some research. Your mothers last name popped up so I clicked it. There was a picture of her, she worked with them.
"You have a lot of explaining to do when we get-"

Trembles van hit us. We spin off the road. Alana stopped is just in time before we flipped over. We got out and started running, we didn't know where to, we just ran.

"MARTINS, STWERT, SHELEY, AND NALACK, I AM HOT ON YOUR TAIL. STOP NOW AND NO ONE GETS HURT!"

We looked at each other and no one stopped except Austin, but just for a split second to shock them. They stopped, but we had to as well. We were at a dead end.

"Nice to see the family back together." He paused and looked at Zack, "plus one."
