Twenty-three

RYDER

It's been 4 days since my fiancé disappeared and we had to sleep in the woods. I started losing hope and since today is about to be day two in the woods my mood was down, I'm angry with myself and everyone else that tried to speak to me. "I think I can hear the water!" Mia said and ran towards the direction of the sound.

A minute goes by ... No signs of Mia

2 ...3 ... 4 "Fuck it I'm going-" I was cut off by a shocked and panting Mia "I found something." Mia said then led the way. A huge building was standing in the middle of the woods and guess who was peeking out of the window. Jenna.

"Don't shout. She doesn't see us. Just walk in." Her mom instructed. I did as I was told but was confused "She can't see us?" I asked, "She can but she didn't see us." Her mother explained, I nodded and entered the building. So you how all those very well known banks have a lot of huge buildings and floors? Yeah, this house was basically the same besides the fact that the first few were completely vacant. This place was made of minerals. Bunnies were hopping around inside too. 

"Jinx is innocent" Brandon chuckled as he stared at the animals hopping "Oh shit! Her bunny had babies." Flarah cooed, I ignored them and went looking for Jenna by myself. I ran up the stairs nearly tripped and turned the corner only to stomp down some steps and turn left. The house was basically the universe's hardest maze because I felt like I was just going in circles. Then I saw her. I was kind of hoping things would play out as they did in romantic books or movies. Jumping into each other's arms and kiss and making up? It didn't happen, she just bumped right past me. "Jenna wait," I said going after her.

 "What Ryder." She snapped picking up her bunny and feeding it a carrot as she continued walking away from me "Can you at least look at me?" I asked, She ignored me and kept walking. I picked up my paced quietly "Jenna." I said behind her, The bunny gave me a cute look before jumping out of her hand. Jenna stopped but didn't turn around, "Jenna." I mumbled again, this time she turned around "The fuck do you want Ryder?" She snapped, clearly angry at me. I stepped back putting some space between us and mumbled a word I never thought would come out of my mouth ... "I'm sorry." Jenna looked beyond shock. "Repeat that? I think I'm dreaming." She said. A smile tugs on my lips "I said, I'm Sorry. I feel like all of this is my fault. I miss you. The way we would fight at home and all that good stuff. The house hasn't been the same, Can you please come home?" I said looking straight into her eyes,

 "Okay." She said, "Please I mean we- Wait what?" I said taken aback "I said sure." She said. I grinned and pulled her into a hug, a long and very tight hug. "Okay, I need to breathe." She said, I pulled back quickly but wore a huge smile on my face "My bad." I said, "So does the bad boy have a soft spot for the shy girl?" She smirked, I felt the tip of my ears heat up "Maybe I do." I smirked back at her "It's cute. But you have a girlfriend so you better fix that." She said. I gave her a confused look "Girlfriend?" I asked "That girl you were sitting with at lunch ... She said she was your girlfriend." She explained "Um no. Not my girlfriend ... Try bored fling." I said, She giggled and I smiled. "Hey, can I try something?" I asked "Sure but make it quick, I wanna go home." She answered. I smiled again and within seconds my lips were on her soft wet lips. At first, she seemed shocked and I thought she was going to pull away and slap me but she kissed me back. 

Her soft lips and small hands made me think about the other kisses of I got from other girls and if I had to rate her on her kiss, She broke my fucking scale. I pulled away and kissed her forehead before hugging her again. At first, it was completely quiet. "Ryder ..." She said. I hummed. "As good as that kiss was we can't do that again. I know you still want your flings here and there and I don't have what you want. So we can be close friends." She said.

 I wasn't upset, I understand what she was trying to say. And me being myself I said, "I'll try to prevent that from happening again." Knowing damn well I'm going to do anything to have another moment with her.  "Okay. Let's go I wanna see everyone." She said I rolled my eyes "Oh God." I mumbled, I checked the time and it was only one ... This is gonna be a long day.
