"I'm telling you Dan" PJ begins, interrupted by his sipping. "He's not any good for you" he states, lowering the coffee cup from his lips. "Maybe" Dan replied thoughtfully, eyes fixed on the tall, pale figure across the road. Phil Lester had been working part time in the florists next door for the entirety of the summer, and Dan Howell could not be more infatuated with him. "He is so, so strange. Please see some sense and quit staring" PJ interrupted again. But it was too little too late, Dan finally decided to make his move and got up from the chair behind the book store counter. "Come on" PJ pleaded as Dan confidentially made his way towards the door. Dan paused. Yeah you're right, PJ." "Finally!" He sighed in reply. "Don't wait up" Dan winked, cracking up as he left the shop. His forehead began to crease in regret already. What was that smell, old people and ink? The store odour had been rubbing off on him. Who knows, maybe Phil was into that. Dan didn't know much about him at all, except that he was known for his weird and wacky animals facts, and that he wanted him. He squeezed through the door, if he smelt strange before, the scent of roses surely would've covered it now. "I'm just coming" a cheery voice called. Dan grinned, eyes wandering around the pastely and pinky building. Phil came rushing forward, stopping in his tracks when he met eyes with Dan. "You've finally got a customer" Dan smirked, sitting cross legged on the desk. "How can I assist you, Dan?" Phil giggled. "I don't put you down as the flower appreciating type" "Nor you, replied Dan. He carried on. "Gay, or the son of the owner?" Dan played with the stalk of a near by plant, eyes drifting back to Phil once again. "How stereotypical of you, but a bit of both." Phil replied; tongue poking out of his plump lips. Dan had admired his laugh from across the street for 6 weeks, and it doesn't compare to the real thing. "I think then, flower boy, you should let me take you out" his pulse began to speed up, hoping that it didn't sound just as an asshole move out loud like it did in his head. Phil froze. "It depends" he looked at his feet and then back to Dan. "It depends, if you knew that the lotus was considered as a sacred flower by the ancient Egyptians." "See this is the quality information I came over for" Dan shook his head in disbelief, confused and fascinated with the Wikipedia that was Phil's way of thinking. "You can tell me all about it on our date" Dan's lip curled, slipping his number into a near by pot before saluting and leaving the shop. And PJ said he could do better.
