The Teenagers and I are at a local diner, and Billy is being a sweetheart and paying for lunch- hell, he even knew what we liked and ordered it for us! Just over an hour earlier, I found out I was pregnant. "So, Sherman, how far along is Alyssa?" Joe asks. Sherman grins and responds "She's almost a month and a week along." I grin and say "Yeah. Hey, I'm going over to the jukebox. What should I play?" "Let me come with you and choose a song," Sherman says, standing up. Hand in hand, Sherman and I walk over to the jukebox. As we look at the jukebox, Sherman whispers, "Alyssa, I think I've found the song I wanna play." "What song is it?" I curiously ask, smiling. Sherman smiles and replies "It's the song "Creation of Love" by Frankie Lymon." He then leans over to me and whispers "I'm dedicating it to the creation of our love," rubs my stomach a bit, and kisses me. Suddenly, I hear Billy exclaim "Hey, lovebirds! The food's here!" Hand in hand once more, Sherman and I walk back to the table.

An hour later, the other Teenagers, along with Billy, Sherman, and I, are preparing to head back home. "Hey, I'll be in town until next Sunday!" Billy says as he gets into his car. I wave farewell as Billy drives away. How kind of Billy to visit us for the week, I think. Herman says "Congrats, Alyssa and Sherman! I'm so happy for the both of you!" "We're happy, too," Jimmy and Joe enthusiastically say. Kenny grins his chipper grin and says "I'm glad to hear of this delightful news!" Sherman grins and responds "Thanks, everyone! We appreciate your kind remarks." My grin widens some more, and I blush. "You guys are the greatest group of friends a girl like me could ever ask for," I say, feeling extremely happy. Then, I look at Sherman and whisper "Now to tell Dion." What will Dion think when I tell him I'm pregnant?

A few minutes later, Sherman and I arrive at his house. When we get in, I sit down on the couch and tell Sherman that I'm going to call Dion and tell him the news. Sherman nods, and I then pick up the phone and dial Dion. "Hello?" I hear Dion say. I say, "Hey, Dion! Guess what?" Dion asks "What is it, darling?" "I'm a part of the Teenagers now! I signed a record deal with End Records and joined the Teenagers yesterday," I enthusiastically reply. Dion replies, "Well, that's good!" I say "Thanks! Oh, and guess what else, Dion?" "What is it, babe?" Dion asks me. Happily, I reply, "I'm expecting! You know what I mean, right?" Dion says, "Oh, okay. Yeah, I know what you mean. I'll talk to you later," and hangs up the phone. "So, what was Dion's reaction?" Sherman asks as he sits down on the couch next to me. I frown slightly, sigh and reply, "He seemed happy when I told him I'm a part of the Teenagers, but he sounded kinda sad when I said I was pregnant." Sherman wraps his arm around my shoulder and responds "Don't worry, Alyssa. You have great friends who are happy that you are pregnant." My slight frown changes into a smile and I say "I'm glad I have such wonderful friends." I'm not letting Dion's reaction to my pregnancy news sully the happiness of today.

Later that night, Sherman and I are standing in his room, and we are about to go to bed. Sherman walks over to me and wraps his arms around me. I smile, and Sherman says "Today, I found out the greatest news of my life." "I'd have to say the same thing, babe," I respond. Then, Sherman gets on his knees and lifts my shirt up, exposing my stomach. He rubs my stomach, kisses it, and says "Hey there, little one. Mommy and daddy love you so much. You're the creation of love that's as pure as gold. Once again, mommy and daddy love you so much. We can't wait to meet you, little one." Tears form in my eyes and I say, "Aw, Sherman... That was so sweet!" "Anything for you, my love," Sherman says before kissing me. We then get into the bed. Sherman says "Goodnight, babe" before briefly placing his hand on my stomach and saying "Goodnight, little one." Then, Sherman wraps his arms around me, and some time later, we both drift off to sleep.
