Sorrow

I awoke to the sound of a bird chirping.

I got up and saw Kane standing through the glass wall into the trees.

"What time is it?" I asked sitting up.

"Its 8:00" he said as he turned to look at me.

"Are you feeling better?" He asked taking a seat next to me.

"Yeah, thank you"

"So what was it about?" He asks looking worriedly at me.

"It was nothing...I was just being stupid..." I said looking away.

"People don't cry for no reason... Now tell me, I promise I won't judge you" he said with sincere in his voice.

"Its... Its just that i really miss my boyfriend..." I said putting my hands over my face to cover my crying.

"Its gonna be alright... Hey...hey, look at me." He said removing my hands and lifting my chin up to meet his eyes.... His eyes that were an icy blue...

"Believe me Winter... It will get better..." He said as he pulled me into a tight hug.

"It hurts so much..." I said.
I hugged him and cried on his shirt.

"Why do good people have to die" i said as my crying finally started to fade away.

"They're too good for this planet..." He said with a pained voice.

I stayed quiet and got up from his body and walked to the glass wall.

"When did it happen?" He asked with a small voice.

"A week before i got here... We were gonna get married but... But then he passed away" i said looking back at him.

"I-im so sorry!" He said looking away, ashamed that he even asked.

"Its ok..."

"...if you ever need to talk to me... I'll always be there for you, and I really mean it." He said with sadness in his eyes.

"Thank you...we should get back I wouldn't want my aunt to get mad at you " I said wiping away my last tears.

He didn't say anything but instead just knodded.

I got up and we headed to the door.

We walked in silent but he occasionally smiled at me.

Then finally we were here.
My aunt came out smiling at the both of us.

"There you both are, breakfast is ready"

As we walked in I immediately ran to my room. I changed and combed my hair. I looked at myself in my mirror as I did. Then I saw a shadow behind me. I looked back immediately but saw no one, I then looked back at myself in the mirror... That was weird.

"Honey... Your breakfast is gonna get cold. And I want to take you out to see which colleges you'd like to go to, I really recommend the one Kane goes to... You know..." She said standing in the doorway and wiggling her eyebrow.

"haha, yeah I'll be down in a minute." I said rolling my eyes at her jokingly.

I finished up and headed downstairs

"So how was it?" She asked referring to the cabin.

"Its was gorgeous!!! I'm in love with it!" I said right before taking a forkful of my pancakes

"I told you you'd love it! Anyways... There's three colleges that are near hear but the one that Kane goes to, is rated five stars so we should definitely look into that." She said right before digging into her food.

When we finished we headed to the colleges and honestly the two were terrible and trashed and did not look like it was a good place for me. But the last college we went to was so nice. I can see why they were rated five stars. And their academic levels are beyond what I could do but that's how you know its good.

"I really like it here!" I said as we were taking a tour of the campus.

"Yeah, I told you..." Aunt Rose said.

"So... You have three weeks before its too late to join for the semester, do want to go here?"

"Yes, most definitely yes!!!" I said happily.

Once we went through the tremendous amount of paperwork and how I'm gonna pay for here was all settled we decided to go to a close ice cream shop.

"This is so goooood!" I said taking a scoop of my buttercream vanilla walnut swirl.

"I know, and the best part is that its all low fat, this is my favorite ice cream place in the whole world!" She said eyeing her ice cream like no other.

"So... Winter...are you uhm feeling better about everything?"
She asked

"Yeah, I am. Thank you" i said playing with my spoon.

As I woke up for my first day of college I slapped my alarm clock a little too hard causing it to crash against the wall.

I got up and stretched and a smile grew on my lips. This is a new start... I could restart everything. I mean everything is the exact opposite of what it was back then.

I stretched my arms out and got up. I didn't have one of those confusing dreams last night, so I slept like a baby.

I got to my closet after I showered... Hmmm... What should I wear?

I decided on a beige, tight, long sleeve with a pair of white leggings and black combat boots. Now, I know I'm a guy but, I prefer my feminine side way better.

I quickly put my hair up in a high pony tail and got my bag and headed for the kitchen to where aunt Rose was.

"Are you exited???" She asked with a huge smile plastered on her face.

"Hell yeah!" I said jumping up and down.

As soon as we finished breakfast we headed to the college.

I sat inside the car even though we arrived. Im really going to college!!! Im so grown up!

"Ok, im ready..." I said getting out.

"Bye sweety! Hove a good day!" She said pulling away.

The good thing is that i only have classes in in the morning and I was only here for three hours.

I walked onto the campus with my head held high, I smiled stupidly at everyone. I think I really do like it here
