"Honey... I know that you're sleeping but I have to speak to you..." My mom said shaking me awake. It's now been two weeks since he passed away. I haven't gotten out of bed since.

"What is it?" I said rubbing my puffy eyes from all the crying.

"Uhm, I'm, sending you with your aunt... I know that you think its a bad idea, but honey, I think it would be good for you to get away from all this!" She said with tears at her eyes.

"No, I can't leave. Not yet at least... I have to go to his funeral"

"Then go when its all over, honey I just want what's best for you!" She said as tears fell down her face.

"That's not what's best for me mom! His spirit is still with us! I just can't leave him!" I said trying my hardest to hold my tears back.

"You have to get away from all this honey, I love you! And I know what's good for you!"

"No! I'm staying here!" I said storming out of the house.

I went to the woods behind our house, the only place I could really relax.

I haven't felt so much heartbreak before. Even when I didn't think of him my heart ached. Every time I inhaled I just wanted to cry till I couldn't.

I felt a cold breeze hit me which caused me to have goosebumps. Then a leaf fell on my lap. Where has this happened before? I took the leaf and and played with it then the breeze lifted it off my hand.

Maybe I should go. I know that I would always have jared with me... But it just felt so wrong to leave just like that.

"Honey, you don't have to go, I just want wh-" I interrupted

"I'm going" I said.

"What? Do you really want to?" She asked as she sat next to me.

"Yes..." I said looking down at my hands.

"When do you want to go?" She asked as she began to run her hand on my back soothingly.

"As soon as possible..."

"This weekend?" She suggested.

"Yeah, this weekend... I love you mom!" I said hugging her. I cried on her shoulder. I love her so much, I knew it was gonna hurt for me to leave her, but I couldn't stay here any longer.

"You really?"she asked as she locked the front door.

"Ready as I'll ever be..." I said holding my luggage.

"Come on, let's go or else you're gonna miss your flight!" She said getting in the car.

"I want you to behave when you get there Ok winter?" She said not taking her eyes off the road.

"Yes mom, I know..." I said looking at the trees as we passed them.

"Well, we're here..." She said.I looked at her and saw tears forming in eyes.

"I love you mom... I'll always love you..." I said trying my hardest not to cry.

"I love you more Winter, take care baby. Call me when you get there" she said as she pulled away.

I looked at the entrance of the airport and began walking to it.

"Flight for Arkansas now boarding" I heard be called and I began running to get my ticket.

I sat in a seat that was near the window. I looked at the clouds. They looked so peaceful. I soon began getting tired, and before I knew it I fell asleep.
