Chapter 4

Kylie's POV

Morgan takes a seat next to me on the couch. Yes yes I know, I can be a little rude, but what do you expect? I'm a vampire and I haven't eat in 2 days. I'm a little on edge, especially with this wolf so close to me. Gotta admit though. She is one sexy wolf.

I know I should not be having these thoughts, but she's so innocent and sweet. Too bad my kind hates her kind and vice versa.

"Um...Kylie.." She says shyly. I cut her off. "I told you I go by Ky." To make her feel better I give her a little smile.

*Ring Ring*
"Oh sorry that's my phone, I need to take that." I say to Morgan. I see that my brother is calling me, school must have ended so I answer the call.

"Hey bro what's up."
"Ky! You never came to school! Are you ok? Did she wake up? Did she attack you? Is she really a wolf? Is she dangerous? Where'd you go? Does mom know? Does she-"

"Nick! No more spit firing questions. Calm down dude, yeah I'm fine, I'm still with the girl. And no mom doesn't know." I say cutting him off from all his questions. I hear him sigh over the phone.

"When are you coming home? Mom's gonna ask questions you know." He says.

"Nick don't worry. Just...cover for me will you?" I ask, almost pleadingly. He sighs heavily. "Of course I will, I don't know how long it's gonna work for though. So you better hurry up with what you're doing. And be careful she still is a wolf and our kinds don't mix."

"Ok thanks dude! I owe you! I'll talk to you later. Bye." I hang up before he can say another thing. I sigh and lean back on the couch. Almost forgetting about the Angel sitting next to me. A thought popped in my head.

"Hey, where were you headed when I..?" I say trailing off a bit. She giggles and tilts her head. "When you ran me over?" She asks. "I was on my way to school. I walk to school."

"Ohh. Wait where do you go to school?" I ask slightly intrigued. "Oh I go to North Mountain." She says laughing.
"I go there too." I say smiling. She starts giggling and I just raise an eyebrow and look at her. "I know, I have two classes with you. I sit in the corner of both classes."

"Ohh..." I say. Not knowing what to say. I feel kinda bad for never noticing her but I don't really ever notice anybody, no reason to care about other people. "It's ok though I never talk in class." She says smiling.

I, unlike my brother, don't not like school at all. I still don't understand why I have to go I mean I'm a vampire for crying out loud! But my mom says we need to do it while "we are still young." Still doesn't make sense since I'm not gonna age. (Stop aging at 25 to be exact.) I'm not gonna be those vampires you see in the movies that go back to school every 10 years or so, fuck no! Who in there right mind would do that???? Willingly. Other than my brother of course.

I'm snapped out of my thoughts when I feel a hand on mines. I look at Morgan and raise my eyebrow. "I really should be getting home. Thank you for taking care of me, I appreciate it." She says smiling at me. I cough awkwardly, "um maybe you can give me your number..?" I ask sheepishly. "Of course you can!" She giggles and give me her phone to put my number and contact in.

I hand it back to her and watch her laugh and smile. I got to admit it's really cute looking. "Alright let's go I'll drive you as close as I can."

Nick's POV

I just got off the phone with Ky and she still hasn't come home. What in the world am I supposed to tell mom. Soon after I hear the front door open.

"Kids! I'm home!" My moms voice carries throughout the house. I run down the stairs and meet her in the kitchen in less than a second.

"Oh Nick! Where's Kylie?" She asks looking for a cup. I scratch the back of my neck and try to come up with something fast. "She said she was gonna go to the store after school." I mentally face palm myself with that excuse. My mom looks at me for a second. "She went to the store? Your sister hates shopping." My mom raised her eyebrow at me, but she gives up, shrugs and walks into the living room.

That was close. Dammit Ky when you get home you have a lot of explaining to do.
