"Wait what" I asked laughing at Adriana."Mom it's not funny I'm so serious" She laughed also.
"So then why you laughing" I smiled at her.
"Because your making me" She continued to laugh. "But seriously I rushed out of the classroom with my sweater covering my but because I thought I got my period. I get so paranoid when I wear white jeans"
"Here's a little tip, keep a extra pair of pants and underwear with you at all times"
"That is a good idea" She said looking away as she thought about it.
I shook my head laughing at her. I got up then walked in the living room grabbing my keys.
"Mali" I yelled down the hallway were his room was at.
"I'm ready" He walked out the room then turned his light off. Adriana walked out of the kitchen and we walked outside to my car.
"Shot gun" Adriana yelled.
"Nah I ain't sitting in the back seat" He shook his head then pushed her hurrying into the front.
"Play to much" She mumbled getting in the back.
I pulled out the drive way then kept looking at the road then at my phone as I texted Liana.
"What" I asked Maliki as he stared at me.
"So fuck my life huh" He asked.
"Watch your mouth" I pointed at him "But you right, I'll put my phone down" I said setting it in the cup holder.
We pulled up to the graveyard and all got out.
"What the fuck" I said looking around "His gravestone is supposed to be right here" I pointed.
"This the exact spot and I know we not hallucinating because we come here every weekend" Maliki added.
"Exactly - Excuse me sir" I called out to one of the workers who was helping with the garden.
He came over to me wiping his hands "Do you know what happened to the gravestone that was right here" I asked.
"Somebody was supposed to call you, but they were trying to get to a pipe next to it and accidentally dug the wrong place, long story short there wasn't a body or ashes in the casket"
"What type of shit is that"
I walked away with the kids behind me and got in the car deciding to call the graveyard office when I get home.
-
"This shit giving me a head ache" I mumbled holding my head.
They kept giving me the same answer. "There wasn't a body in there" They would say.
What I don't understand is why they opened the casket in the first place.
