"Done. Now doesn't she look like she has the emotional value of a child? But she's so cute!" A little redhead. That's what I drew. Theresa labeled her Cleo.
Dimitrius pondered my work, "are you sure you didn't just draw a younger version of the Little Mermaid?
Theresa nodded, "that's exactly what she looks like. You've got what we have so far correct. I'm impressed." She traced the thick outlines I placed on each face. Dimitrius followed. He stopped when he got to Isabella.
I kept my mouth shut. Did Theresa know about Isabella?
Oh no Theresa was gonna freak. She'd probably-
"Feel this. Their outlines. They have the exact same feel to it." He took Theresa's hand and lined it against the Little Mermaid girl, then alongside Isabella.
Theresa closed her eyes and took deep breaths. "They have the same feel. Although the red-head feels more of a family-yearning rather than lover desiring. Yet she wants a lover. And Isabella just feels like she wants a lover. They both love-or loved-something although it didn't seem to love them back."
Lu looked around before digging through her sketchpad, "I don't have dialog, but this is what I'm guessing happened to our Little Mermaid." Lu had turned the bottom of her sketchbook into a flipbook. It was a wedding. Although it looked more like the American flag. Many people walked up the center aisle. And the bride was the Mermaid. Everyone else had blank faces however. But the rest of them was drawn. Their hair was complete. And coloured.
Theresa looked to Dimitrius, "so you think this scene will bring it all back together?"
Dimitrius nodded, "feel the outlines. Tell Lu so she can label the final drawing."
The final drawing was fully coloured save for the blank faces. Our Mermaid had her face now drawn though.
Theresa felt outlines. She started with the couple wearing the strange Burgundy or Maroon outfits. "The girl is me...and the guy...Dimitrius! I think that's Alagretto! And that means the girl over there in the blue dress..." Theresa lead her fingers across the lines, "I found Aly! Dimitrius I found Aly!" Dimitrius smiled and hugged her happily. I now wondered if he was cheating on her or Isabella. Or both with Aly?
"Wait. Who's Aly? And Allegretto? Who names their son Allegretto?" I stopped. I wrote the names in.
Theresa shook her head, "no, it's an A not an E. and Aly, well. We don't know who they are. We just know that we love-or once loved-them. That's our main goal. To find Aly. We both kept having visions and dreams about her. So we wanna find her. I think she was my only friend."
Dimitrius looked at Theresa then to the girl who had 'Aly' writen lightly across her face in an elegant cursive manner. "It's her. Then is that me standing next to her?"
He and Theresa trace their hands along both before they meet and overlap. I could tell by the warm smiles that it was him.
And how Theresa wasn't jealous that he was searching for another girl that he 'loves', I have no clue.
After a few minutes of silence, I pipe up, "so...what's the next step?"
Theresa and Dimitrius come down from their whatever. "Oh, I need to ask Simon some questions. Just gotta get him away from Blade. Wait, we didn't look at Eclaire's memory yet. Could I see it?" Theresa spoke. She was in deep thought.
Dimitrius nodded, "alright Lu, you wanna see this?"
I nod, "yeah. You know when I see these I can only hear one voice? And it's not of my own. It's of whomever that is supposed to be." She pointed to the guy next to a blank face. His face was blanker than ever.
