Chapter Two

Shit's about to get real, man.

Continuing from when Rae walks to the door of the bus...

"Vic," I mutter, my voice barely coming out. "Wh-what are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see if it was really you," he says, his voice much calmer than mine, calmer than I would have anticipated, like he had practiced what he wanted to say before coming over here, the entire walk practicing that sentence, "can we talk?"

I nod, "we can talk in the lounge," I respond, "Bren, Anthony, can you make sure that Lily and Jen don't try to go back there? And try to keep your mouths shut, I don't know how they'll react. And, I really don't want to know."

Anthony and Brendon nod, letting me lead Vic into our bus, watching as he and I disappear from their view into the back lounge, the door shutting off contact with them. I locked the door behind us before sitting on across from him on the seats.

"How've you been, Raegan?" he asks, his head tilting when he notices the flinch at the name.

"I don't go by Raegan anymore, it's just Rae," I mutter, biting on my lip, watching as Vic's features change.

"You also don't go by your last name. You don't reveal your last name. You're Rae Dean, I know. I looked into you before I came over here. It's one of your attempts to hide yourself from us, isn't it? Along with the blond hair," Vic says, the words leaving his lips quicker than I can really  process them. "Now, how have you been?"

"I-I'm okay," I say, my voice breaking, hesitant. I didn't know why Vic was here, how he noticed my nothing of a band; how he even noticed the little nothing of a blond thing behind the drum kit. "Why are you here?"

"I wanted to warn you, and tell you ahead of time that Mike's going to be at your set tomorrow. There's been a lot of rage about the new female drummer that has taken over Warped this year. Mike's going to be pissed if he realizes it's you. He hates you for what you did to Tony."

"How did you realize it was me?"

"A fan tweeted me a picture of your guy's album, I looked into you and when I looked up a video, I knew."

I didn't want to hurt any of them, "It wasn't my goal to hurt Tony."

"You still left."

"How'd everyone react?" I asked, regretting the question, I didn't want to know about everyone, not yet. "How'd Tony react?"

"He called Mike in a frenzy, but Mike didn't answer, he was with Noel. Tony left a voicemail though. You can barely understand anything that he said. It was all a mumble of words, tears, and what I can only assume to be his heart breaking. The only thing that we could really make out of his words were 'She left, Mike. I loved her and she left me.' When Mike heard it he was pissed, and he had the right to be. But, I think he was more angry because of Noel's reaction. She burst into tears when she heard, she called Ashley and May asking if they'd heard from you.

"When the girls said 'no' she was panicking and started to call you - over and over again. Mike had gone to Tony's, so he didn't know she heard the voicemail, he tried to listen to it when she wasn't in the room. Noel kept herself together until Mike left, and then she lost it - she broke down once he was gone. Mike came home to her clutching a blanket on the couch, an absolute wreck."

"I'm sorry," I mutter, pulling my legs up, hugging my knee's to my chest.

"I had told Ashley everything you told me. I wanted a female's perspective so I could try to understand it better, and Ashley knew how to explain it to me. So, she wasn't as surprised when you left. She was upset, but she at least had justification. She was more upset that you left without trying to talk to her," he paused, taking a breath in, looking for the words he needed, "Tony refused to leave his house. Whenever we went over there, he was always laying on your side of the bed."
