FIONA'S POV

I hadn't left the tree house in three days. Heck, I hadn't left my room in three days, with the exception of bathroom breaks. The only people I had contact with was Cory, Chrissy, and Cake. Cake started talking to me the door when I didn't allow her to come in. The twins just poofed themselves in and Cake didn't approve of them because of their relations to him. It even hurt to think about him, so I tried not dwelling on it. But Cake didn't help out there, constantly reminding me.

"Hun bun, I told you not to get too close. Look where it landed you. For all you know, he was looking for someone to use. Marsha--"

I flung the door open.

"Shut up! I know this already. You've told me that every SINGLE day. And I'm fed up with it! Say it again and I'm leaving.", I growled.

Cake turned puce as I slammed the door shut, the windows rattling. I couldn't take her nagging anymore. A faint tinkling in the air told me the girls were on their way. A minute or so later, they situated themselves on my bed. I stared at the ceiling in silence.

"Get up, Fifi! We're going to a club.", Cory grinned devilishly.

All of a sudden, she turned into a small pink monkey. I laughed so hard that I couldn't breathe. Cory the Monkey was no more. Chrissy was literally rolling on the floor laughing. Cory took both of our hands in one and snapped with her free hand. We were in a silver and black room. I cautiously opened one of the many doors. It was a large closet that never ended.

"Cory, we're going to have so much fun!"

Oh dear gob, help me.

MARSHALL'S POV

I hate my life. It seems like every time I find something that makes me truly happy, someone has to take it away from me. Ashely, my ex, had been trying to get into my house for the past three days. Every time, I refused and slammed the door in her face. Rude, I know, but she didn't understand the word "no". I kept picturing her heartbroken face. tears threatening to spill, trembling lips. A faint tingling rang my ears.

"Marshy! Get up, you have a club to go to.", Cory's melodic voice ordered.

I buried my head further into my pillow, not wanting to see anyone's face. The only face I wanted to see was hers. I sounded like a brokenhearted, lovesick puppy. Which I was, minus the puppy part. Cory ripped the blankets and pillows off my bed.

"Noooooo..", I groaned.

With a snap of her fingers, I was wearing a black fedora with matching tie, a white t-shirt, my usual black skinny jeans, and white Converse. I nodded in approval and she gave me a toothy grin. She linked her arm with mine before I could protest and we disappeared into a puff of smoke that smelled suspiciously like candy floss. When the smoke cleared, I saw a party in full swing. The music was blaring and I could feel the bass in my sneakers. In hindsight, it should have hurt my ears, but I had grown used to it from my concerts. Cory dragged me across the room, weaving between the sweaty bodies of demons and monsters. I figured we were in the Nightosphere. I sniffed the air, a familiar scent hitting me. I pulled away from Cory and followed my nose. And there she stood. With another boy? Her blond hair was pulled up into a ponytail, the rest of it flowing down her back. The black dress she wore accentuated her curves and hugged her body. She laughed at something the boy said, the sound tinkling through he air. Jealousy washed through me. I wanted to be the only one to make her laugh that way. She slightly turned her head and I could see her face clearly. Her lips were pink and perfect. Her baby blue eyes were wide with mirth. She laughed again, the sound flying through the air. Only this time, she turned her head a lot more. Her eyes widened as the happiness in them faded. She looked heartbroken again, the same when she saw Ashely force herself onto me. She took two steps forward and on step back. We slowly met in the middle.

"Marshall?", she breathed.

"Fiona.", I felt a smile inching its way onto my face.

I reached out to cradle her face with my hand. Fiona jumped away like I had burned her. Then again, she was used to being burned, being with Flame Prince and all. So I guess I have to find a new simile...back to the point! She backed away from me, into the throng of people. I pushed through them, ignoring the whispers of my name. I was quite popular down here, with my band and all. Some fangirls reached out and tugged on me. I made myself invisible and flew out as fast as I could. I heard faint crying around the club. I followed my ears to the point of origin. Fiona was sitting beside a rosebush. There was a garden down the hill that the club rested on. She had buried her face in her hands. I wrapped my arms around her, cradling her to my chest. Fi looked up, bewilderment across her face. Then I remembered: I was still invisible. I shifted back and watched her expression. She turned away from me and tried to get out of my arms.

"Please......just let me hold you...", I whispered, my voice breaking.

"Why? Why do you do this to me?", she asked, her voice thick with tears.

I was stuck. Why did I do that to her? Why did I go after her? Usually if I couldn't get to a girl I wanted, I gave up on them. But that never happened.

"Because.....because I love you..."

(AN: I was going to leave it here, but I thought you guys would hate me, so yeah.....ENJOY!!!!)

FIONA'S POV

What? Okay, I'm either hallucinating, or the Marshall Lee The Vampire King said he loved me. I'm going for option one.

"What?", I asked. Real smooth, huh?

"I love you.", Marshall said with vigor.

And those words aren't just tossed around. I figured I should say it back, because it was true for me as well.

"I love you, too.", I whispered.

Marshall's crimson eyes lit up. He pulled me even closer and pressed his soft lips to mine. My eyes sealed shut. And in that moment, I felt complete.
