Melanie's POV

Allison and I had a girls night. We are driving, well she is, to the gas station. She pulls into the almost empty gas station. There is a guy with a motorcycle there.

Allison gets out to pump gas. I get out and stand there stretching my legs. I walk over to her and lean against her car. The guy with the motorcycle gives us a smile and nod , which we return before he drives away.

We go to get back in the car but Allison notices her keys missing. "Did you grab them?" She asks me confused.

"No I left them alone in the ignition." I say, just as confused as her.

"Can you help me look?" She asks and we get out and look around her car. All of the sudden a bag goes over my head and someone holds me in there grip. Oh shit oh shit oh shit. Derek has finally come to kill me. That or somehow Peter came back to life. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

I struggle to get the person off me but it doesn't work. Allie and I are put in the back of a car or truck of something.

I wake up and I'm sitting down. In a chair, I think. There's still a bag over my head and a cloth in my mouth to stop me from yelling for help. The bag suddenly gets ripped off my head and I look around. I see Allison looking at me with scared eyes. Uncle Chris is also here.

"Ever wonder what happens if a hunter gets bitten, Allison? Melanie? Ever wonder what happens if you get bitten? What do you think your father, your uncle would do? What do you think he'd have to do? When all it would take to change everything is - one bite. One bite -" The recording stops and Uncle Chris breaks out of his chair, standing up and taking the recorder shutting it off.

"Everything changes." He says. Allison and I look at him like he's crazy. "Is this how we're gonna do father/daughter, niece/uncle talks from now on?" She asks him, the niece/uncle part about me.

"No, this is how we're gonna train you. Do you know why we use arrows?" He asks us.

"They can't heal until it's taken out." I say to him.

"Look familiar?" He asks holding up the arrow that Allison used to shoot at the hunter who was trying to kill Isaac.

"You were going to kill him." She says to her father.

"That's right. And if we find Isaac on another full moon, we will kill him. That's the hard choice we make. But it wasn't my choice." Uncle Chris says. What do does he mean it's not his choice?

"Gerard?" I ask.

"No. See, our family has a surprisingly progressive tradition. Knowing wars and violence are typically started by men, we place the final decisions, the hard ones - With the women. Our sons are trained to be soldiers. Our daughters, to be leaders." He says. Wait, Aunt Victoria. She is the one who said that. I notice the guy from the gas station. Uncle Chris puts two arrows in our hands. One in mine, one in Allie's. "Training starts now. Time them." Uncle Chris walks out and the motorcycle guy follows him.

"Allie, we should go back to back. It may be quicker." I suggest.

"Yeah." She says and we move our chairs back to back.

2 and a half hours later, we finally get out of the ropes and go outside, holding our wrists.

"Congrats." Motorcycle guys says to the two of us. I give him a confused look.

"For what, it took us two and half hours." I ask him.

"Took me three when I did it." He replies. I nod slowly then me and Allison get in her car and drive away.
