Chapter 4: Getting Situated

Ed's P.O.V

Everyday I come to love (y/n) more and more. Ever since I first saw her I knew I would love her and she would be mine no matter what. Her dad is still really suspicious and always reeks of drugs and alcohol everytime I see him. I just wish I had the power to help (y/n) with all her problems and had the courage to tell her that I love her. Maybe one day... I need to get it off my chest, maybe I could tell Al since I'm too chicken to tell (y/n) and Winry would probably tell (y/n).

Al's P.O.V

I was sitting by a lake, my back against the tree thinking about how wierd brother has been acting, does he really love her that much. Man, what love can do. Speak of the devil, here comes brother running towards me. He looks kinda nervous, did he already confess to (y/n), maybe I'm wrong and he's not in love with her. He was panting and out of breath by the time he got to me. "Hey Al" he started as soon as he finished pacing his breaths, "I'm about to tell you something, but you have to swear not to say anything to a single soul" dang this must be really serious, "Al, I think I'm in love with (y/n)," omg, did he say what I think he said, i knew it, I couldn't help but tease brother with the fact, so I started annoyingly chanting
" you love her, you love her
You really, really love her.
And now I am singing this song
because I knew it all along
That you love her, you love her
You really, really love her"

Brother was really red with a blush of embarrassment. Just then (y/n) appeared from behind a tree behind Ed, " Ed loves who" ohh perfect, I'll just leave these two love birds be. Ed started waving his hands nervously in front of himself, " No one, Al was just being weird with his dreams again." A huge smirk grew on her face, she was enjoying this as much as I was, "ooohhhh you love Winry don't you." She teased with a mischievous grin plastered on her features. Ed was still waving his hands in front of himself nervously, "No it's not like that, not at all" All I was doing was laughing my head off at his poor defensive skills, which I guess were good enough for (y/n) because she just nodded slowly and shrugged.

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

I've been living in Resembool for about two weeks, I immediately warmed up to Ed, even though I struggle to warm up and bond with people. I was always the shy type, never really trusted anyone, the ones that I did trust, are dead (a/n- I thought of Levi when I wrote that). But Ed just understands, he knows dispair, though his eyes are bright, they have bits of saddness seeping through. Plus he's adorable and funny WAIT, WHAT DID I JUST SAY?!?!? oh well, probably just my mind being it's crazy self. I was limping down, with my makeshift prostatic limbs before I actually get real automail, to the lake that I always go to when I need to think and relax and escape from life's havoc. Dad had been drinking and smoking more than before and acting up a lot. I'm starting to really worry about him. I heard Al's voice chanting words teasingly, Al and Ed were standing in front of the lake, Ed's back was facing me. "Ed loves who" I asked, part of me hoping he'd say me, I think I'm actually starting to fall for him. Little by little, no that was not a height reference. Ed waved his hands in front of himself nervously, as if making sure I didn't come any closer. "No one, Al's imagination was just going crazy again" I thought I might as well take advantage of this vulnerable condition, "ooohhhh you love Winry don't you" I teased and made a mischievous grin hide my slight disappointment that he didn't say he loved me. He waved his hands again and shook his head rapidly; not fully convinced with his answer, I slowly nodded and shrugged, knowing I wasn't going to get a better explaination from him. Just then, Trisha yelled for the boys to come home, it was faint but still able to be clearly heard, even from this far away form the house. The boys asked me if I was going to come, I just smiled and nodded and started lightly limping toward the Elric's house. Ed saw me having trouble keeping up with the two, he looked back at me, a little bitof pity on his face. "Do you want me to carry you on my back?" I quickly looked down to hide my extremely deep blush and I nodded, " If you wouldn't mind. You don't have to though"," No problem" he put his back to me and scooped me up from right above my knee. I was tired so I nuzzled my face in the crook of his neck, I swear I saw him blush. For some odd reason this felt so right, to be so close to him. His rhythmic walking and heartbeat made it hard not to fall asleep, finally I gave into the urge and was out.

Ed's P.O.V

Omg she is just too adorable, I can't handle it, she look so peaceful while she was sleeping. I could watch her face for hours. It was one of those things you never got tired of looking at, no matter how long you stared at it. I was blushing really hard, Al was probably going to tease me about this later.

Al's P.O.V

Awwww.. they're too cute together, how are they not dating yet(a/nsee, Al ships you and Ed. Al knows what's up) I am so going to tease Ed with this later, no doubt about it.

(A/n) sorry this chapter was kinda short, family problems are getting crazy so I may not be updating as often and the chapters probably won't be really long. Sorry, I really want to write a lot and do it all the time, but ya know, stupid life has to suck all the fun out of everything. I love you all so much for reading my bull crap and putting up with my stupidness that I call writing. Hopefully next chapter will be out soon, I make no promises. I will try to write as much as possible, and might get my phone taken away because of family issues so please understand if there is a lack of updates.
